Control Resonant is set to come out this year, and knowing developer Redemy Entertainment’s focus on narrative, you probably won’t want to play it until you’ve journeyed through the original Control. Luckily, the Steam Spring Sale is here to assist with a 90% discount on the ultimate edition.
Venturing into a bureau full of mysteries, Control invokes plenty of the strange anomalies that characterize SCP stories or even Twin Peaks. Throw in plenty of experimental combat possibilities and memorably alienating environments, and you’ve got an undeniably interesting package.
Sifu
75% Off, $9.99
Beat ’em ups and brawlers often offer the potential to play intelligently, but they rarely require it. Sifu is the rare example of a brawler that doesn’t allow mindless play, tasking players with true mastery of complex combat. Overcoming its hurdles will likely come with some frustration, but the sense of satisfaction will be more than worth it.
The $9.99 sale price for Sifu isn’t mind-blowing, but it’s a discount that’s only appeared once before on Steam. Developer Sloclap is also offering a steeper 90% off of the earlier action game Absolver, which is excellent in its own right.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate
90% Off, $2.99
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have a storied video game history, and Splintered Fate is another successful chapter in their surprisingly consistent saga. This particular spin, released in late 2024 offers roguelike action with optional co-op support.
Splintered Fate‘s retail price of $29.99 is already relatively modest, so a 90% off sale makes this one an absolute steal. It’s not the only Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game on sale, but among the current selection of discounts, it’s easily the best bargain of the bunch.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare
90% Off, $5.99
Activision is often conservative with Call of Duty sales, and Call of Duty 2‘s steadfast refusal to drop below 10 or 15 dollars on Steam has been a personal source of irritation for years. Paradoxically, more recent titles sometimes fare better. That’s certainly the case with this Steam sale, as 2019’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is on the receiving end of a whopping 90% discount.
Living up to the original Modern Warfare games is a tall order, but the 2019 reboot fared surprisingly well. After Black Ops 7 disappointed plenty of fans in 2025, dialing it back to jump into some Modern Warfare lobbies might be the better way to have a fun Call of Duty experience in 2026.
Totally Accurate Battle Simulator
90% Off, $1.99
No one is quite as good at making goofy games as Landfall, and the studio never charges much for it. The $19.99 retail price of Totally Accurate Battle Simulator isn’t quite as attractive as free Landfall games like Knightfall and Totally Accurate Battlegrounds, but it’s more than fair. Throw a 90% discount onto that, and you’re looking at one of the best deals in the Spring Sale.
Totally Accurate Battle Simulator certainly isn’t totally accurate, but it’s as amusing as the tongue-in-cheek name would suggest. Whether you’re arranging Viking raids or Wild West duels, this is the perfect way to set up conflicts that play out in hilarious ragdoll fashion.
Silent Hill F
50% Off, $34.99
Silent Hill f isn’t as cheap as the other games on this list, but there’s good reason for that. As a AAA release from last September, a 50% discount is just about the best that you could hope for, and it represents a new low for the game that probably won’t be bested particularly soon.
Unlike classic Silent Hill games, Silent Hill f takes place in rural Japan, but it maintains the oppressive foggy atmosphere and psychological torments that the series is known for. While the classically clunky combat won’t leave you astounded, an interesting story and a fantastic central performance should get you hooked all the same.
Battlefield 1
95% Off, $1.99
A massive Battlefield 1 discount is nothing new, but this Steam Sale regular is just as worthwhile as ever. If you still haven’t ventured into Battlefield 1‘s memorable take on the large-scale battles of the Great War, now’s the time, especially as interest in Battlefield 6 has started to wane.
All these years later, Battlefield 1 retains a steady PC community, and it’s not hard to see why. There’s nothing quite like dodging gunfire on horseback or shooting down a zeppelin, and its gorgeous lighting and massive set pieces still look better than many recent releases.
Resident Evil 3
90% Off, $3.99
Resident Evil 3 is far from the most acclaimed Resident Evil remake, with fans criticizing aspects like its short runtime and cuts to major parts of the original game (goodbye, clock tower sequence). Even so, it’s another fun, atmospheric experience in Raccoon City, and the $3.99 sale price is an all-time best.
If you’re not looking to invest $69.99 in Resident Evil Requiem right now, the value on the table here is hard to ignore. Other Resident Evil games with solid discounts during the sale include the original Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil 5, and the classic remake of Resident Evil 1. RE6 is also 75% off, but between you and me, I’d recommend skipping that one if you’re not going for series completion.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
90% Off, $6.99
I like buying Steam games for less than $7.50, an arbitrary threshold that was easy to meet in the olden days of the platform. Now, it’s hard to find AAA games for that price until a decade has passed, and games like the Call of Duty classics cling to less daring sales even then. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, however, is one relatively recent game that’s willing to oblige.
At $6.99, this 2023 adventure is a hard deal to ignore. You’ll want to play Jedi: Fallen Order first if you haven’t, but don’t worry. That one’s on sale for an even cheaper $3.19, and you can get the two together in a bundle for $9.16.
Fallout: New Vegas
90% Off, $0.99
Fallout: New Vegas is often heralded as one of the greatest RPGs ever made, and it’s not without good reason. New Vegas takes the formula established by Fallout 3 and runs with it, delivering a comparably immersive experience while diving into a compelling, smartly written story that recaptures the strengths of the original isometric Fallout games.
For 99 cents, it’s really a no-brainer, whether it’s your first or fifth Fallout game. The Ultimate collection with all the game’s DLC is also on sale for $4.99, which might be an even better deal thanks to the quality of the expansions. Either way, this is a Steam RPG deal that anyone who hasn’t yet played New Vegas absolutely shouldn’t miss, especially if the second season of the Amazon series got you interested in the New Vegas setting.
