10 Biggest Marvel/DC Crossovers Fans Are Still Begging To See

With the success of the Batman/Deadpool crossovers and the all but assured continued success of the Superman/Spider-Man crossovers, a new age of DC/Marvel team-ups has arrived. And while each of the four issues has some interesting and fun combinations, there are literally hundreds of characters that fans are still dreaming of seeing.

The homes of the biggest and most beloved superheroes of all time could easily bring their heroes and villains together for special events until Galactus eats every planet in the solar system and still have plenty of options left on the table. But there are some groupings that are must-haves, and fans won’t be satisfied until they’ve happened.

Flash And Quicksilver Need To Race

While it wouldn’t be much of a race — everyone knows Flash is faster than Marvel’s quickest mutant — that doesn’t mean the fans don’t want to see the duo face off. In truth, Flash and Quicksilver did meet once before, and that ended with Quicksilver throwing a sucker punch, but that is all the more reason for them to meet again.

Adding to the fun is how different Quicksilver and every single person to call themselves Flash are. Quicksilver’s prickly attitude is the total opposite of Flash’s endless optimism, be it Jay, Barry, or Wally.

And, unlike last time, the two speedsters don’t need to fight now. They could always team up to stop a threat or just share a meal and talk about how exhausting it is waiting for their teammates to catch up.

Mister Mxyzptlk And Impossible Man Can Finally Tie Up A Loose Thread

All the way back in the 1980s, writer and artist John Byrne left Marvel to join DC and reboot Superman after the events of Crisis on Infinite Earths. In Superman #50, Byrne, along with Jerry Ordway, Curt Swan, Kerry Gammill, Brett Breeding, Dennis Janke, and Dan Jurgens celebrated the milestone issue with a special story.

Part of the story features Superman taking on one of his oldest foes, Mister Mxyzptlk. Upon being “defeated” by the Man of Steel, Mxyzptlk does what he always does and leaves the the dimension. But instead of heading back to the 5th Dimension, Mxyzptlk instead travels to another Earth to check on his “four new friends.” Mxyzptlk then turns himself into Marvel’s Impossible Man.

Superman and Fantastic Four Share The Exact Same Villain, But Marvel or DC Will Never Make It Official

It’s true, Superman and the Fantastic Four happen to share one all-powerful villain, but sadly, neither Marvel nor DC will ever make it canon.

The idea that Mister Mxyzptlk and Impossible Man are one and the same has been left unexplored ever since. But now that Marvel and DC are willing to work together again, the time has come to reveal all about this secretly shared character.

Namor And Aquaman Have Plenty To Discuss

Namor Aquaman

As two Kings of Atlantis who are both half human, it seems obvious that Namor and Aquaman would have plenty to talk about. No one in either universe can so perfectly share the trials and tribulations that these two have gone through as well as they could with one another.

The stresses of being king of the majority of the planet and having to deal with surface dwellers all the time would help these two bond. And, given their tempers, it’s almost certain that one of them would end up throwing a punch before long, either at their counterpart or any villain who happens to be passing by.

7

Lex Luthor And Norman Osborn Could Talk Business

Luthor Osborn

The two biggest businessmen in either universe, and two of the biggest superhero haters around, Lex Luthor and Norman Osborn would most certainly lead to a tense meeting. These two titans of industry facing off not in physical combat, but in corporate negotiations, could be as monumental as Batman meeting Hulk.

The real question is if any single room, or any reality, could handle the combined egos of Luthor and Osborn. These two men could spend weeks, if not months, facing off againsg each other over contracts and financial records. And, in the end, it’s debatable who would come out on top.

6

Hardware And Iron Man Can Compare Specs

Hardware Iron Man

Two men who built suits of armor to make up for past wrongs, Iron Man and Hardware would have some issues getting along – Tony Stark is pretty bossy and Curtis Metcalf isn’t one to take orders – but seeing them together would be a delight for fans. Iron Man would be amazed by Hardware’s Shell Forge, and Hardware would surely love to get a look at Iron Man’s targeting systems.

These are two men who understand engineering better than perhaps anyone in their realities, and the chance to truly have someone to talk to who loves to build big suits of armor as much as they do would be a wonder conversation for fans to listen in on.

5

Catwoman And Gambit Both Have Slippery Fingers

Catwoman Gambit

Two thieves with great style, Catwoman and Gambit could certainly have some fun spending an evening in Gotham City together, as long as Rogue and Batman don’t find out. With the X-Men, Gambut rarely gets to stretch his old Thieves Guild muscles, but Catwoman can get him back in shape in no time.

A little breaking and entering is a great way for two new friends to create memories that will last forever. And, to fit into their more heroic sides, whatever they steal from Gotham’s elite they can give to those in need. Half for the Thomas Wayne Memorial Clinic, half for the Phoenix Foundation.

Wonder Woman And Black Panther Understand The Need For Secrecy

Wonder WOman Black Panther

Two powerful people from nations that would prefer it if no one knew about them, Black Panther and Wonder Woman teaming up to hanlde some villains would be an amazing adventure. The opportunity to see the King of Wakanda working side-by-side with the Princess of Themyscira is one fans would eat up.

Marvel and DC’s Greatest Legacy Heroes Are Teaming Up In Historic New Crossover

Marvel and DC Comics have revealed one of Batman/Deadpool #1’s bonus stories, featuring the epic meeting of two major DC/Marvel legacy heroes.

Black Panther and Wonder Woman are both outsiders to the world, raised in nations that chose to separate themselves from the rest of humanity in order to stay safe. Because of this, neither one quite fits in with the heroes they regularly work with. A chance to meet someone with a similar past would do them both good.

3

Punisher And Deathstroke Wouldn’t Stop Until One Of Them Was Dead

Punisher Deathstroke

If Punisher and Deathstroke were to ever cross paths, one of them wouldn’t make it out alive. Both mean are beyond deadly, and neither one has any issue taking a life. And while Deathstroke may have the edge when it comes ot strength and strategy, Punisher can’t be counted out.

The Punisher has faced off against some of Marvel’s toughest heroes and showed them just how tough he can be. He’s not one to give up, and he sure isn’t going to go easy on Deathstroke. Punisher may not win the fight, but if he does go down, he’s going to make sure Deathstroke never forgets him.

And for fans, the battle would be well worth the price of admission.

Booster Gold Could Get Some Tips From Wonder Man

Booster Wonder Man

Booster Gold’s two goals are to become one of the world’s greatest heroes and to get rich doing it. Wonder Man has pulled off this dream by being a member of the Avengers and a movie star. Obviously, Booster could learn a thing or two from Wonder Man.

Whether they talk over coffee or while taking down some villains, the back and forth of these two image obsessed heroes is sure to make fans laugh. And if, by the end of it, Booster can walk away with an action plan for his future financial security, all the better.

Lois Lane Would Put JJJ In His Place

JJJ Lois

J. Jonah Jameson may be used to pushing around the reporters and photographers at the Daily Bugle, but he would quickly find himself outmatched if he were to meet Lois Lane. DC’s greatest reporter isn’t about to take any guff from Marvel’s most iconic editor-in-chief, but together they could crack a big story.

While JJJ spends most of his time behind a desk these days, he was one of the great reporters during his time, and working along side the Daily Planet’s star reporter would surely bring out the best in him. And for readers, getting to see JJJ and Lois Lane snipe at one another would be a dream come true.
