Ted season 2 picks up right where season 1 left off in the early 1990s, after Ted the bear’s 15 minutes of fame have come and gone. He lives in his hometown with his best friend, John Bennett, played by Max Burkholder, and his family. Together, the two hilariously navigate adolescence, high school, and everything in between.

That said, the best new series of the entire slate might just be the 4-part miniseries The Dinosaurs, which claims to retell the rise and fall of the ancient animals during the Mesozoic Era, which occurred tens of millions of years ago.
One of the most exciting aspects of The Dinosaurs is that it is narrated by Academy Award winner Morgan Freeman, who guides viewers through the entire known timeline when dinosaurs walked the earth, from their origins to extinction. In just four visually stunning and immersive episodes, Netflix subscribers can be equally educated and entertained with this major new nature documentary.
Vladimir
Netflix’s best new series for a quick binge this weekend has got to be Vladimir, which consists of just 8 episodes, all 32 minutes or less. Featuring an alluring cast led by Rachel Weisz, Leo Woodall, John Slattery, and more, Vladimir is intriguing, seductive, and blends elements of dark comedy, high-stakes drama, and intense romance.
Vladimir is based on a celebrated novel by Julia May Jones, who also adapted the series for Netflix. The entire runtime of the series is just under 4 hours, so ambitious viewers will be able to binge-watch the entire show in just one sitting. The series also interestingly features a consistent break of the fourth wall by Weisz’s lead protagonist, a professor who falls into an obsessive love affair with her coworker, played by Woodall, largely to feel inspired in her life again.
Vladimir is off to a strong start from a critical perspective, earning a 71% Rotten Tomatoes score on the day of its worldwide premiere, Thursday, March 5, which is subject to change. The series is poised to become one of the biggest streaming hits of March 2026 on Netflix and is one of the best shows to binge-watch this weekend for fans of steamy, albeit toxic romance.
