8 equity mutual funds offer over 50% return in FY26. Do you own any?

Eight equity mutual funds have delivered over 50% return in FY26, an analysis by ETMutualFunds showed. There were around 553 equity funds in the said time period, of which 253 funds offered positive returns to the investors and eight funds posted over 50% return in the financial year.A further analysis showed that, out of 553 funds, top 64 were sectoral and thematic funds and 52 being international funds. In other words, all these eight funds were international funds.

Nippon India Taiwan Equity Fund offered the highest return of 158.46% in the financial year that started on April 1, 2025 and will end on March 31, 2026 (As on March 23, 2026). DSP World Mining Overseas Equity Omni FoF delivered a return of 83.26% in FY26.ICICI Prudential Strategic Metal and Energy Equity FoF posted a return of 69.93% in the mentioned time period. This was followed by DSP Global Clean Energy Overseas Equity Omni FoF which gained 69.53% in the same period.

Mirae Asset Global Electric & Autonomous Vehicles Equity Passive FOF offered a return of 58.25% in the mentioned period.

HSBC Brazil Fund offered a return of 56.23% in FY26. Edelweiss Emerging Markets Opp Equity Offshore Fund posted a return of 55.28% in the FY26 so far.

DSP US Specific Equity Omni FoF was the last one to deliver over 50% return. The fund delivered a return of 50.59% in the said period.

The next 245 funds in the list delivered returns ranging between 0.01% and 45.63% in the mentioned time period.

Around 300 funds which gave negative returns and they lost ranging between 0.01% and 28.13% in the financial year so far.

We considered all regular and growth options. We calculated all equity mutual funds including sectoral, thematic and international funds. We calculated performance from April 1, 2025 to March 23, 2026.
