Prime Video’s action crime series, which stars Ritchson as the titular itinerant former military policeman, was renewed for a fourth season in October 2024, before the third season premiere. Season 4 started filming in June 2025 and wrapped the following November. However, Ritchson recently made headlines for some real-life drama, as he was caught assaulting his neighbor on video.
Now, “after such a crazy week,” Alan Ritchson is “happy to be back in the booth” finishing post-production for Reacher season 4, calling it the “best” and “most gripping season yet,” and confirmed that it will be “hitting the airwaves very soon.” On Instagram, the star shared a video of himself in the ADR booth, which can be seen below:
Why Did Alan Ritchson Beat Up His Neighbor?
Ritchson finishing post-production for Reacher season 4 comes days after he was caught beating up a neighbor, Ronnie Taylor, on video. According to TMZ, the reason for the altercation stemmed from Ritchson riding his motorcycle at excessive speed, and when Taylor asked him to stop, the argument turned physical. Sources close to Ritchson claim the actor did not initiate the fight.
Law enforcement is investigating the incident, though no arrests have been made, and it’s unclear if the incident will impact Ritchson’s upcoming projects. However, he appears to be unaffected for now, as he is back in the booth for Reacher season 4 doing ADR, a standard part of post-production in which actors re-record lines to improve audio quality or change dialogue.
What To Expect From Reacher Season 4
Reacher season 4 is based on the thirteenth Jack Reacher book, Gone Tomorrow (2009), which follows the titular character investigating a mysterious woman on a New York City subway, leading him into a complex conspiracy involving terrorists, a U.S. congressman, and a complicated web of lies spanning back to the Soviet-Afghan War.
Season 4 is set to introduce several new cast members and characters, including Christopher Marquette as Jacob Merrick, Sydelle Noel as Tamara Green, Agnez Mo as Lila Hoth, Anggun as Amisha Hoth, and Kevin Corrigan as Russell Plum.
In addition to calling it the “best” and “most gripping season yet,” Ritchson teased in an earlier interview with ScreenRant that Reacher season 4 is going all-in on delivering bigger and more intense action, revealing that they shot about 30 fight scenes for the new episodes:
We shot… God, I don’t even know, man. 30? We’ve never shot this many fights. There’s so many. And it’s not just that we’re just going for the sake of it. I worry about fight fatigue for audiences… We’ve set a record for the amount of fights that we’ve done this season, but all for good reason. I think it’s going to be a lot of fun.
Reacher season 4 does not yet have an exact release date, though it is confirmed for 2026.
