Mystery gifts have been in Pokémon since Generation 2, and are typically tied to each Nintendo system’s wireless capabilities. In Pokopia‘s case, you’ll need an internet connection to redeem Mystery Gift codes.

At the time of writing in April 2026 (the list above will be updated each month), there is only one active code for free items in Pokémon Pokopia. Two total items can be earned via Mystery Gifts, the Chansey Plant and the Ditto Rug, but the latter does not require a code. You can get the Ditto Rug by using the Get via Internet option – more on that below.
Mystery Gift codes are one-time use. Once you’ve redeemed a code, you cannot use it again to get a second item. If you really want a duplicate, try taking a picture of the desired item and printing one in a Pokémon Center with Pokémetal.
How To Redeem Codes In Pokémon Pokopia
To claim Mystery Gifts, you need access to a PC. Just access the PC outside any Pokémon Center (the Pokémon Center does not have to be rebuilt), then select the Get Items button in the center of the bottom row. This will take you to another menu, where you need to select the bottom option, Mystery Gifts.
Once you’re on the Mystery Gifts menu, you have three options. To enter the codes above, select Get with Code/Password, the second button. You’ll be taken to a screen where your Switch 2’s keyboard appears, and you’ll be able to enter the code. If you’re getting an item that has no code, like the Ditto Rug, choose Get via Internet. (The image gallery above shows the step-by-step process of redeeming Mystery Gift codes.)
Nintendo is likely going to add new free item codes occasionally, so check back regularly to see if more have come to Pokopia. Mystery Gifts are sometimes the only way to get certain exclusive items, and once the code expires, there’s no other way to get them. Mystery Gifts have thus far been a feature of the mainline games, so it’s too early to tell how extensive their use in Pokémon Pokopia will be, but there’s a chance you could end up with quite a few free items.
