It recently passed a major milestone on home video, which is saying something, because that’s where Ritchie’s audience is. The filmmaker’s fans have even pushed box-office underperformers such as The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare and Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre to success, not to mention the critically acclaimed war drama The Covenant. Each of these movies was first released in theaters, where they garnered the attention that would be essential to their success at home. However, Ritchie’s most recent movie also happened to be his first to be made directly for a streaming platform.

Find Out How Long ‘Fountain of Youth’ Has Spent on Apple’s Viewership Charts
The film in question is Fountain of Youth, the globe-trotting epic that combined the adventurous tone of the Indiana Jones and the National Treasure franchises with Ritchie’s trademark humor. The movie featured John Krasinski, Natalie Portman, Eiza González, and Domhnall Gleeson, and was released on Apple TV in 2025. It earned poor reviews, and is now sitting at a 35% critics’ score on the aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes. Despite a 38% audience score, Fountain of Youth seems to be doing exceptionally well with viewers. According to FlixPatrol, the movie has now spent more than 250 days on the domestic Apple TV chart. Ritchie has three movies lined up — the action-thriller In the Grey, which is due out in May; the dark comedy Wife & Dog, which will be released in October; and Viva La Madness, an action-comedy in the vein of his signature early hits.
