April 21 Is A Very Important Day For PlayStation Plus Subscribers

PlayStation Plus is about to get its next batch of Essential games on April 7, but there’s another big date this month that subscribers will want to keep an eye on. If you’re a member of the Extra or Premium tiers, you’ll definitely want to mark this one on your calendar, especially if you’re playing free games through the PS Plus service already.

Over on the PS Plus subreddit, a user named PSPlusUpdates posted a helpful screenshot of various games that will be leaving the service later this month, as well as providing info regarding systems, DLCs, difficulty, length, and trophies. Understandably, a number of users are now feeling rushed to complete these games before they leave PlayStation Plus.

It looks like a total of six games will be leaving PS Plus on April 21. You can find the info regarding the games and platforms here:

Dave the Diver is arguably the biggest loss here, as it was a viral hit that even garnered The Game Awards nominations. PS Plus members celebrated when it arrived on the subscription service. However, if you’re playing any of these games, you only have about three weeks remaining to beat them before they’re removed.

What’s Worth Playing On PlayStation Plus Right Now?

It’s not all bad guys, though. Several new games have been added to PlayStation Plus that are worth your time. Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth is an excellent RPG that you can easily spend 100 hours in. Likewise, Elder Scrolls Online Collection: Gold Road comes loaded with the base game and all previous chapters. If you’re up for investing 1000 hours in an MMO, this one certainly provides the most bang for your buck.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 was also recently added, and it’s just about perfect. Depending on what you like, these three new(ish) releases on PS Plus should more than compensate for the six games we’re losing on April 21. And besides, a new batch of Extra and Premium games will be added to PlayStation Plus around the midway point of the month, and they’ll hopefully more than replace the games we’re losing.
