Andy Serkis has officially confirmed that the role of Aragorn will be recast in the upcoming film The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum.
Speaking in a recent interview with ScreenRant’s Liam Crowley for Animal Farm, Serkis addressed the casting for the highly anticipated movie. The actor confirmed that while speculation has been wild, a new actor is officially being sought for the iconic role formerly held by Viggo Mortensen in the original Lord of the Rings trilogy.
