As part of the strategic partnership, the logo of the city-headquartered heavy commercial vehicle maker would feature prominently on the front right of the IPL franchise’s popular yellow jersey.
“This partnership continues the longstanding association between CSK and the Hinduja Group, building on the successful collaboration with Gulf Oil, another Group company (of Ashok Leyland) for over 15 years,” a company statement said.
Ashok Leyland Chairman Dheeraj Hinduja, Managing Director and CEO Shenu Agarwal formally announced the partnership in the presence of CSK’s captain Ruturaj Gaikwad, and Ayush Mhatre, the India’s U-19 World Cup Winning Captain.
“We are delighted to join hands with the Chennai Super Kings, a team that embodies excellence, consistency, and a winning spirit,” Ashok Leyland Chairman Dheeraj Hinduja said.
“Through this partnership, we celebrate our shared values of resilience and high performance. We are proud to support a team that has brought immense pride to our home city,” he said.
On the occasion, Ashok Leyland unveiled a specially designed CSK fan bus created exclusively for the CKS’s ‘Whistle Podu’ fan base, the statement added.
