As a Lunar-Crystallize specialist who mostly works from the off-field position, Linnea works well, enhancing the powers of Geo and Hydro characters who can take advantage of that specific reaction. The best DPS for Linnea is Zibai in Genshin Impact, who is a Geo DPS centered around dealing loads of damage via Lunar-Crystallize – though this team comp, evidently, needs some sort of continuous Hydro application to ensure the reaction happens.

In Zibai’s team, Columbina is also a top-tier support, so both Linnea and Columbina in Genshin Impact would be enhancing Zibai’s damage output. With Illuga, the team will get huge bonuses, especially because all characters will either be Hydro or Geo, so you can expect a ton of damage. The only issue with this party is the lack of better sustain methods, as Linnea would be the only healer – though the continuous production of Elemental Shards can act as mini shields.
An alternative is using another Geo DPS, like Navia. A Hydro DPS could work, too, though Linnea has a passive that inflicts Geo RES shred on enemies while her summon is on the field, so Geo DPS units would get the most out of it.
You’ll want at least one other Moonsign character in the team to trigger the maximum amount of 30% Geo RES shred via Linnea’s passive.
The big thing to take into consideration while using Linnea in a Geo team is that she empowers reactions more than single elemental damage alone. As such, you’ll want to be triggering Lunar-Crystallize all the time whenever possible.
How To Use Linnea In Genshin Impact
Use The Character’s Skill & Swap Her Out
When using a party with Linnea, you’ll want to swap her in and use her Elemental Skill to summon Lumi, who will deal off-field Lunar-Crystallize damage. The Tap version of her Skill will see Lumi dealing stronger hits, while the Continuous Tap version will empower the first attack, and the subsequent ones will deal a bit less damage in comparison to the Tap version. Which one you choose is very situational and up to your assessment of the enemies.
With her Elemental Burst, Linnea’s Lumi will continuously heal the active party member based on her DEF, so you can choose who gets the HP recovery. In most of her best teams, this will be the main source of healing, so you’ll need to know when to use the Burst. While on the field, Linnea boosts her own Elemental Mastery; if another Moonsign character like Aino in Genshin Impact is on the field, their EM is increased.
Linnea is a pretty easy character to use, and one that can significantly increase the power of your Lunar-Crystallize teams. If you’re not focusing on this specific reaction, be sure to use her with Geo characters because of her RES shred – even though putting in at least one Hydro character to trigger Lunar-Crystallize in Genshin Impact will always be worth it for Linnea.
