Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser reprise their roles as Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler in the upcoming Yellowstone spinoff Dutton Ranch. The show, set in South Texas, will debut its first two episodes on Paramount+ on Friday, May 15, 2026. Dutton Ranch season 1 will also air on the Paramount Network. After the premiere, the series will air new episodes weekly for its 9-part run.
The first trailer, released by Paramount, offers an action-packed glimpse into the challenges Beth and Rip will face as they attempt to start a new life together. Filled with gunfights, fistfights, explosions, an unspecified person dragging a seemingly dead body, and an arm sticking out of what appears to be a shallow grave, these clips hint that Dutton Ranch will have a much darker tone than the other series in the Yellowstone franchise.
Paramount’s new first look images complement the trailer by showing Beth and Rip in action. Reilly and Hauser can be seen fighting separately as well as united during more intimate moments. The visuals capture Beth and Rip’s unique marriage as they navigate a world where danger is lurking around every corner while trying to make things work for their family and raising their son.
Joining Reilly and Hauser are Academy Award nominees Ed Harris (Everett McKinney) and Annette Bening (Beulah Jackson). The cast also includes Finn Little (Carter), Juan Pablo Raba (Joaquin), Jai Courtney (Rob-Will), J.R. Villarreal (Azul), Marc Menchaca (Zachariah), and Natalie Alyn Lind (Oreana). With such a talented ensemble, Dutton Ranch promises not only intense action but also compelling character-driven drama with incredible performances.
Dutton Ranch is produced by Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios. The nine-episode first season was developed by executive producer and showrunner Chad Feehan. The series is based on characters created by Taylor Sheridan and John Linson, the duo behind the original Yellowstone series. Additional executive producers include David C. Glasser, Art Linson, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, Christina Alexandra Voros, Michael Friedman, Cole Hauser, Kelly Reilly, and Keith Cox. Voros also directed multiple episodes, including the season finale, alongside Greg Yaitanes, Jessica Lowrey, and Phil Abraham.
The Yellowstone universe is a massive neo-Western franchise created by Sheridan, focused on the Dutton family and their ongoing struggle to defend their ranch in Montana across multiple generations. It all began with the flagship series Yellowstone (2018–2024) and has since expanded to include prequels such as 1883 and 1923, along with additional spinoffs like 6666 and The Madison, further exploring different aspects of the same world.
The first two episodes of Dutton Ranch will debut on Paramount+ on May 15, 2026. After the premiere, new episodes will be released every Friday on the streaming service and the Paramount Network at 8:00 PM ET and 5:00 PM PT.
