Cyberpunk 2077 Is Officially Back With A Brand-New Game

The iconic neon-soaked streets of Night City are set to return once more as Cyberpunk 2077 studio CD Projekt RED teams up with Zero Latency VR. This is just one of many collaborations that the studio has embarked on in recent months, to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the hit RPG. From record collections to trading card games, Cyberpunk 2077 fans are being treated well whilst they wait for the highly anticipated sequel which is not expected to launch until 2030 at the earliest.

Those interested in experiencing the world of Cyberpunk 2077 in virtual reality are in luck as this CD Projekt Red x Zero Latency VR collaboration will allow players to step into the streets of Night City and freely move through the iconic metropolis. However, this is not just your standard VR experience. Instead, Zero Latency VR allows players to move around in a selected space, rather than being locked in place. Additionally, up to eight players will be able to play together, being able to wear both a headset and gun controller to take on a series of challenges across multiple themed levels. As such, you will get to experience brand-new locations, making it a standalone experience to Cyberpunk 2077.

The catch is that Zero Latency VR is an Australian company, and so this experience will only be available in that region, and a small majority of locations worldwide. However, if you are able to try out the experience, you will get to experience Cyberpunk 2077 like never before, and you will even be able to take some friends.

Cyberpunk 2077’s Night City Is Iconic

It is no surprise that so many companies want to cash in on Cyberpunk 2077‘s Night City location. Since the RPG’s launch back in 2020, there has been no denying that Night City has become one of the most iconic settings in gaming history. With neon-soaked streets, towering skyscrapers, bustling markets, and even the deserts that stretch beyond it with the Badlands, getting to cruise through the familiar metropolis is one of the key features of Cyberpunk 2077. As such, getting to experience it in VR is not something you will want to miss out on.

Whilst we wait for Cyberpunk 2, which is currently codenamed Project Orion, it is experiences like this that will keep the magic alive, and I, for one, cannot wait to see what collaboration will be next for CD Projekt Red.
