Although Cyberpunk 2077 never introduced multiplayer, rumors suggest that its upcoming sequel, currently codenamed Project Orion, may welcome it. However, in the meantime, there is an official way that you can hit Night City with friends.
Cyberpunk 2077 Fans Looking For Multiplayer, Here You Go!
When was the last time you went to an arcade? If you are anything like me, then you have not been since you were a kid. However, with the launch of this brand-new CD Projekt RED certified release, you may just want to grab those coins and visit your nearest arcade. That is because Cyberpunk 2077: Chrome Rush is now available in eligible arcades. Courtesy of UNISGames, Chrome Rush is an arcade combat racer which will allow opponents to battle with guns and melee attacks as they speed through the familiar streets of Night City and beyond.
With seven characters to choose from, multiple tracks that take you through Night City and the Badlands, customizable bikes, and more, Chrome Rush is the multiplayer Cyberpunk 2077 we have all been waiting for as players embark on an “adrenaline-fueled arcade experience.” Available to check out on the official UNISGames YouTube account, you can see the tracks in action, where you will either “die as a legend, or die as nobody.”

It may not be an official multiplayer mode in the RPG, but it is the next best thing as we wait for CD Projekt RED to bring us the next installment in the beloved futuristic franchise. If arcades are anything like they were when I was young, then Chrome Rush will offer you endless fun and laughter as you go head-to-head with friends for the first time in Night City.
As for an official multiplayer mode in Cyberpunk 2, this is something that I am quite hesitant about. Sometimes single-player games are fine as they are, and as much as I love my friends, sometimes I just want to tackle a story alone and at my own pace, without having to worry about anybody else. However, I do think that a multiplayer spin-off could work somewhere down the line. Just give me the Cyberpunk 2077 sequel first though.
