Gurugram-based D2C home appliances company Nuuklife Consumer Pvt Ltd partners with Zetwerk to expand manufacturing in India.

Nuuk has entered a multi-year manufacturing partnership with Zetwerk as part of its plan to build production capacity in India.

The agreement outlines a phased localisation roadmap to expand manufacturing capabilities in the country. The collaboration will focus on production scale and supply chain development.

As part of the partnership, Sanjiv Rangrass has been appointed Make-in-India Advisor to Nuuk. Nuuk said the partnership aligns with its plan to develop a manufacturing base in India.

Gazal Kalra and Shalabh Gupta said the company is building a consumer appliance brand focused on design and technology.

“To do that at scale, we believe we need manufacturing in India that can match our ambition for quality, speed and innovation,” they added. They said the appointment of Rangrass adds operating experience to the company’s manufacturing plans.

Rahul Sharma, Managing Director of Precision Business (Electronics) at Zetwerk, said Nuuk represents a new group of consumer brands investing early in manufacturing. He added that the collaboration reflects a commitment to developing products from India.

The partnership will follow a roadmap that includes new product development and pilot manufacturing programmes. The companies also plan to establish testing and reliability facilities for production processes.

Nuuk said it will continue working with multiple manufacturing partners across categories. The company said the initiative is part of its plan to expand manufacturing across appliance categories as it scales operations.

Zetwerk will serve as a manufacturing partner for select home appliance categories. These include fans and heaters.
