All of these and other character moments play out while they race against time to solve the increasingly complicated case.

Both NCIS and Law & Order have had similar endeavors, but they don’t come close to how ambitious it is to unite three different shows for a three-hour event. The last TV event that was as bold and expansive as this one was The CW’s Crisis on Infinite Earths.
