And while it’s not the drop that many fans are waiting for, Elden Ring is getting a brand-new official release on March 19 from FromSoftware and Bandai Namco, available for pre-order now via the Bandai Namco Store.
Elden Ring Returns This Week With A Beautiful New Release
Elden Ring fans are officially getting a brand-new release this week at the Bandai Namco Store which includes two great collector’s items. The Ranni the Witch and Maliketh the Black Blade woven blankets are two beautifully crafted collector’s items/gaming blankets featuring Elden Ring’s most iconic characters, and they’ll officially be available for purchase starting March 19, available for pre-order now.
The Ranni the Witch blanket, seen above, comes with a stunning design and “captures the atmosphere of the Age of Stars through a rich deep-blue palette and a moonlit design inspired by Ranni the Witch.” The Maliketh the Black Blade blanket is “a must-have for fans of the game’s dark fantasy world,” and both are currently listed for roughly $70 USD.
The blankets feature “a soft, breathable 65% polyester and 35% cotton blend … complete with tassel edging for a refined finish.” They measure roughly 160 × 130 cm and will make an excellent addition to any Elden Ring fan’s gaming collection. Further, there is a third blanket available for purchase featuring a Mesmer the Impaler design, though this was released some time ago and is currently on sale at a 20% discount.
Will We Ever Get Elden Ring 2?
While these collector’s items are certain to keep players warm while they explore the Lands Between, players are really hoping that FromSoftware has a huge announcement up their sleeve regarding Elden Ring 2, however unlikely. FromSoft director Hidetaka Miyazaki has made it clear that nothing is currently in the works, but that doesn’t mean it’s off the table entirely.
At the moment, FromSoftware have their hands full with various projects and the upcoming release of The Duskbloods on Nintendo Switch 2, etc. But Elden Ring 2 will always be a possibility until Miyazaki himself comes out and says that it’s never going to happen, and even then players will likely hold on to hope forever (see Bloodborne).
Fans of Elden Ring may be in the dark about the future of the franchise, but that doesn’t mean there’s nothing to look forward to. With the Alex Garland movie in the works at A24 and the Nintendo Switch port likely releasing soon, there’s plenty on the horizon for fans.
