GTA 6 Fans Losing It Over Early Access To Game

The upcoming release of Grand Theft Auto VI is closer than ever, and we’re rapidly barreling towards the currently slated November release date with no word just yet that the developer is planning to push it back for a third time.

In fact, movements around the game from the company and the platforms that the game will be releasing on actually suggest that we’re very much still on track. In the first instance, store IDs have appeared for the game on PlayStation, which is the usual first step in releasing pre-orders to the public for the first time.

Now, Rockstar has just released a new raft of employment opportunities, and it’s going to give a lucky few a chance to play through everything they have been cooking up early.

Rockstar Is Hiring New Game Testers

As first reported by GTA Boom, Rockstar have put out an advertisement hiring Associate QA Testers again at its Bangalore studio, with listings live on LinkedIn, Glassdoor, Hitmarker, and Rockstar Careers all confirming the move.

Though the job listings obviously don’t mention GTA VI by name at any point, given that the studio isn’t really working on too much else right now (aside from updates for their online modes), it’s a safe bet that this is what they’re for.

On a Reddit post discussing the news, the comments were full of players desperate to give it a go, or warning others against applying for fear of becoming burnt out during the rigorous testing process.

“Whenever you find an issue, you have to capture it, report all the data, like what the conditions were, when the issue happened, and what are the exact precise steps to reproduce this issue so that a dev could take a look. As someone who works in testing, trust me, creating bug reports is a pain in the ass. So yeah, don’t apply if you want to enjoy the game when it comes out,” one comment read.

“Imagine trying to get a work visa for India just to try to game test GTA 6,” another jokingly added.

Happily, what this does all mean is that things are continuing apace, and the ongoing testing process is being doubled-down on to ensure that the game is as polished as possible when we finally get to play it. If they do manage to stick to November for GTA VI’s release, then we’re in for a pretty unforgettable Christmas period.
