That vacuum has to be filled somehow, and the community has done everything it can in the meantime to keep things interesting, from speculating on what we have seen so far, to searching for the tiniest of details in the existing footage we have, across both official trailers and leaks.
Though we don’t yet know what, amongst all of that, will turn out to be true, it certainly has been a fun way to while away the hours while we wait for more from the developers themselves. Now, a tiny snippet of new footage, supposedly sourced from a developer’s PC, has emerged online, and it gives us a little bit more to analyze.
New GTA 6 Gameplay Leaks Have Surfaced
Over on Reddit, a user shared an Instagram video directly recorded from a screen supposedly attached to a Rockstar developer’s computer, that shows one of the game’s smaller bridges and a view out to sea, with a huge bridge spanning the ocean in the background (likely to be their version of the Seven-Mile Bridge.)
Fans have already started to break down every little thing that’s visible in the brief footage, and it’s safe to say there’s more than you might expect.
“Semi interesting. The airliner flying looked higher than last game. Indicates a larger explorable skybox. Clouds look volumetric and not simply a 2D skybox that rotates like GTA 5. Cars are rendered far into the distance, can see them driving on the bridge across the bay. Counter that with CyberPunk’s engine. It draws cars at that distance as flat billboards. Shows a little water simulation and how it interacts as it collides with the bridge,” one comment read.
Others were more skeptical, with one saying, “Eh, definitely taking this with a grain of salt. It looks like the leaks from 2022, but those are also easily copied. Pretty sure there were fakes going around in the same style as the real leaks with the stuff at the bottom (sorry, don’t know what the actual term is). It’s honestly a nothing leak.”
GTA 6 Trailer Three Has To Be Coming Soon
With GTA VI still set to release in November of this year, assuming there are no further delays, it really should be a pretty safe bet that we’re going to get a look at a third trailer for the game before too long.
If we use Red Dead Redemption 2 as a potential example (given that it was Rockstar’s most recent big release), the third trailer for that game released 177 days before the full game. Given that we are 261 days away from the arrival of GTA VI (at the time of writing), we will likely get a third and final trailer in a few months’ time.
