One of the biggest questions on the minds of gamers around the world right now is: will Grand Theft Auto 6 make its November 19 release date as promised? For those keeping score, GTA 6 has officially been delayed twice now. Originally planned for release in 2025, the game was pushed back to Spring 2026 before it was announced late last year that GTA 6 will now land in November. But could that change again?
There are a lot of gamers who believe there’s a chance GTA 6 could get delayed again, although at this point there’s way more evidence to suggest the game is absolutely on track for November 19. For starters, it looks like GTA 6 is in the final phase of testing, which is a good sign. Then there’s a recent leak you’ll probably want to take note of.

Michael De Santa “I want something that isn’t this.” You’re the retired pro who can’t quite let go of the game. You appreciate the finer things — good scotch, classic films, a well-executed plan — but beneath the polished surface is someone who’s never truly at peace. You overthink everything, your family thinks you’re impossible, and you’re probably in therapy. But when it counts? Nobody plans a job better than you.
Strategic Jaded Sophisticated Nostalgic

Trevor Philips “I’m not a hipster. I’m a survivor.” You’re the unfiltered force of nature that polite society pretends doesn’t exist. Rules bore you, plans are suggestions, and your default setting is “maximum intensity.” People think you’re unhinged — and they’re not entirely wrong — but there’s a twisted honesty to you that the world secretly needs. You’re fiercely loyal to those who earn it, and absolutely terrifying to everyone else.
Unpredictable Fearless Loyal Chaotic
🌟
Franklin Clinton “I gotta get out the hood, homie.” You’re the ambitious one who sees the bigger picture while everyone else is stuck in their ways. Street-smart, level-headed, and hungry for more — you’re not about drama, you’re about progress. People underestimate you because you stay quiet, but you’re always three moves ahead. Loyalty runs deep, and you never forget where you came from — you just refuse to stay there.

According to reliable Sony insider Millie A on Twitter, both Sony and Microsoft have been told that GTA 6 is on track for the promised release date, and there are no planned delays “at this stage”. This does, of course, mean plans could change, but we’ll take what we can get.
Here’s what Millie said in full: “Sony and Microsoft have been formally notified by Take-Two Interactive that Grand Theft Auto VI remains on track for release within the current fiscal year. At this stage, there are no planned delays, and the launch ‘window’ is understood to be firm.”
Rockstar parent company Take-Two Interactive will be holding its next earnings call in May, which is where we’ll likely hear for sure that the game is still committed to its November 19 slot. This, of course, also raises the question of the third trailer. With November 19 looming, when are we going to get our first good look at GTA 6 gameplay in action? Multiple industry insiders speculate May will be the time, although I should stress this is largely speculation, and not based on anything they’ve heard.
For the time being, it would seem we can go ahead and mark our calendars for November 19 with complete confidence. With every passing day, it looks like a third delay for GTA 6 is a completely unfounded fear.
