Fans on Reddit have pointed out that one of the most beloved quests in Hogwarts Legacy is actually one they think is “cursed,” and it’s a completely free DLC quest that only a limited number of people had access to when the game first released back in 2023.
Hogwarts Legacy Has A Great DLC Quest
While there hasn’t been a ton of Hogwarts Legacy DLC over the years since the game’s release, when it first launched in 2023, there was a unique exclusive quest that only PlayStation 5 gamers were able to access called “Minding Your Own Business,” affectionately called the Haunted Hogsmeade shop quest by players.
The Haunted Hogsmeade quest’s PS5 exclusivity was a bit of a controversy at the time, but over the years, the quest has been hailed as a contender for best in the game. It’s an extremely unique quest in that it’s absolutely terrifying, and incorporates horror elements that simply aren’t prevalent throughout the rest of the Hogwarts Legacy experience. The quest is now available on all platforms and in all versions of the game, and it comes highly recommended among players.
Hogwarts Legacy Players Think The Quest Is “Cursed”
The Haunted Hogsmeade quest includes horror elements such as jump scares that are few and far between throughout Hogwarts Legacy, and as SageoftheForlornPath on Reddit puts it, “I’m pretty sure this level is cursed.”
Fans largely agree, and they absolutely love to hate how much this quest scared the daylights out of them. “I hated the mannequins!” me_and_qui says, with Imaginary_Error87 highlighting how “the way some of them attacked you but most of them didn’t left me with ptsd I blasted every one of them on sight.”
While these aspects of the quest are terrifying for most players, it’s been called the “best quest in Hogwarts Legacy” by gamers like Wandering-in-Hell. The quest starts like any other, but as players point out, it’s anything but. While various other Hogsmeade quests are relatively quick and painless, this one takes players on an extensive journey full of horrifying moments, and many gamers go into it having no idea what they’re getting into.
Haunted Hogsmeade definitely stands out against the other tedious and minor side quests in the area that fans are used to at that point, and this random side quest presents more of a challenge than many others in the game to boot. Being one of the most unique and memorable quests in the game, Hogwarts Legacy fans can’t recommend this unique DLC enough.
