Delhi Capitals has reported strong double-digit growth in sponsorship revenues for the 2026 IPL season, driven by renewed partnerships and new brand additions

Delhi Capitals has witnessed strong double-digit growth in sponsorship revenues for the 2026 season. The IPL Franchise, which has been focusing on evolving into a sports and entertainment brand, has not only renewed key deals but also added new brands to its sponsorship roster.

Sunil Gupta, CEO, Delhi Capitals, told businessline, “It has been a pretty impressive season from sponsorship perspective. We have renewed a few of our key partnerships, including a big asset, like the back of the jersey with DP World. So clearly, sponsors are looking at this as an opportunity not just for visibility but also to build long-term and meaningful relationships with Delhi Capitals. Overall, sponsorship revenues have seen a double digit growth.”

The team’s sponsors include Hero FinCorp, All Seasons packaged drinking water, DP World and KP Group, among others.

Boost from IPL valuation surge

Analysts have pointed out that the recently announced sale transactions of Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Rajasthan Royals at hefty valuations will have a positive rub-off effect on the entire ecosystem.

“ These transactions are a strong validation of how the IPL has grown by leaps and bounds over the years and what everyone has been hoping for it to become. Valuations are a long term game and I think it’s an interesting phase for the entire league. Also, IPL franchises are now not just standalone India properties. They are being looked at as top-tier global sports properties, which is absolutely great for the entire league,”Gupta noted.

Expanding beyond men’s team

Besides the Men’s team, the IPL franchise, which is co-owned by GMR Group and JSW Group, is among the five founding teams of the Women’s Premier League.

Focus on fan engagement and brand building

Responding to a query on strengthening fan engagement, he said, “We don’t see ourselves as just a sports team but we are quickly evolving into a fan-first modern day sports and entertainment brand. Fans are front and centre to everything that we have built over the last 24 months. The DC Fan Sabha app, for instance, was launched with a clear focus on incentivising participation and deepening loyalty. So, the overall focus has been on deepening engagement through our storytelling, building an IP ecosystem and expanding our grassroots initiatives”

Recently, the IPL franchise announced the second season of its web series ‘DC PG by Gulati’.
