Jujutsu Kaisen Modulois finally over, and it serves as an amazing epilogue to the main series. Unfortunately, it’s not all peaches and rainbows for most of the characters in the series, and there’s one character who has a stunningly sad fate.
Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo mainly focused on a new cast of characters and their journey nearly 100 years after the events of the main story. It still included a few characters from the original series, and almost none of them have good fates.
Panda, one of the most beloved characters in the franchise, finally made an appearance in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, and somehow, his fate may be even worse than Yuji’s.
Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Is Amazing
When a shōnen series ends, there is almost always a push for a sequel, and they’re almost always terrible. Nobody asked for Boruto or Dragon Ball GT, but Jujutsu Kaisen is different. It didn’t feel like a studio pushing to squeeze even more money out of an intellectual property.
Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo is great because it ended. In an age of immortal anime franchises that will do everything they can to continue, Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo told a succinct, detailed story that worked well within a tight timeframe.
It introduced solid new characters, brought back a few fan favorites, and wrapped up a relatively significant detail that the main series left behind. It’s a great series overall, and surprisingly, it had a much darker ending than anyone could have predicted.
Yuji’s Fate Is Less than Ideal

Yuji’s reveal in Jujutsu Kaisen was amazing. Fans weren’t sure if any characters from the original series were going to appear, making Yuji’s introduction nothing short of amazing. Not only is Yuji back, he’s better than ever, and over the past 80 years, he has become the single strongest character in Jujutsu Kaisen.
Yuji is more handsome than ever, capable of using Blood Manipulation on a level entirely foreign to the series, and has transcended whatever limits that used to restrict him. After consuming the Death Womb Paintings, the Cursed Objects known as his brothers, Yuji has become something more than human.
The future is at stake in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, and although Yuji Itadori has just returned stronger than ever, it came at a great price for him.
Even after 80 years, it looks like Yuji has barely aged. He says that he’ll live for hundreds of years, and he’s already outlived several of his friends. His power keeps the world in check, but it seems like he’s become more of a weapon than a person. Sadly, Yuji’s fate isn’t even the worst one in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo.
Panda’s Fate Is Even Worse
Panda is finally brought back to the Jujutsu Kaisen franchise at the end of Jujutsu Kaisen: Modulo. He’s one of the few characters who survived long enough to be featured in Modulo, but he’s not the same as he used to be.
Panda barely survived his fight against Kashimo towards the end of Jujutsu Kaisen, and after Yaga’s death, he was never the same. His cores lost the ability to observe one another, and Panda has slowly been drifting out of consciousness.
