arnataka Budget Session Today, CM Siddaramaiah’s 17th Karnataka Budget 2026 Key Announcements &Updates: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will present Karnataka’s budget for 2026–27 in the Legislative Assembly on Friday (March 6, 2026) at 10.15 a.m. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will present the budget for the record 17th time. The size of the financial budget for the year 2026-27, to be presented on March 6, is likely to increase to ₹4.7 lakh crore. It is estimated that the total debt of the government may exceed ₹1.3 lakh crore. According to some reports, the government will present a deficit budget this time. Siddaramaiah is set to present a record 17th budget, with only Vajubhai Vala in Gujarat having presented more budgets in a state, at 18. Incidentally, Vala was the previous Governor of Karnataka. The Cabinet is scheduled to meet at 9:45 am to approve the budget before the CM reads it out on the floor of the assembly. Apart from Vala and now Siddaramaiah, K M Mani in Kerala and former Karnataka CM Ramakrishna Hegde share the honors of having presented 13 state budgets.
