XO, Kitty season 2 ended with Kitty and Min Ho Moon (Sang Heon Lee) sharing a moment so intense that Kitty asks if she can go out on tour with him and Eunice (Ryu Han-bi). While the premiere of XO, Kitty season 3 shows that question to be short-lived, Kitty and Min Ho’s relationship gets started quickly after his return to KISS.
By the end of the season, after a ton of drama, XO, Kitty season 3 ends up in a very different place than it began.
Kitty & Min Ho Share An Epic Romantic Reconciliation
Throughout XO, Kitty season 3, Kitty and Min Ho’s relationship was one of the most unpredictable in the group. While the pair clearly had feelings for one another, their quick decision to get together as their senior year at KISS was a surprising twist, setting off a dramatic course for the season. Despite their feelings, Kitty and Min Ho got caught up in drama that tore them apart.
After Chuseok, when Kitty found a pregnancy test in Dae’s (Choi Min-yeong) family restaurant and was convinced Min Ho and Eunice (Ryu Han-bi) had hooked up over the summer, their relationship crumbled quickly. Though Kitty apologized for assuming Min Ho had lied to her, he couldn’t find it in himself to forgive her for not trusting him and their relationship was strained.
In the XO, Kitty season 3 finale, Kitty and Min Ho find their way back to a good place at her 18th birthday party. With Kitty heading back home for winter break, Min Ho finally finishes the song he’s been working on with Dae. As Kitty gets to the airport, Min Ho arrives back to the dorm to find her and share the song.
Chasing Kitty down to the airport, Min Ho texts the song to Kitty and makes his way through the Seoul subway for the first time in his life to reach her. When the two finally meet up, they share an epic kiss, and Min Ho decides to ditch Korea for the winter holidays, heading back to Portland with Kitty to meet the Covey family.
XO, Kitty season 3 ends with the pair sitting side by side in business class, happy to finally be on the same page.
Lara Jean Shares An Update About Her Relationship With Peter
Although XO, Kitty has always been about Kitty’s journey at KISS, her sister Lara Jean Covey (Lana Condor) making an appearance this season raised questions about her relationship with Peter Kavinsky (Noah Centineo). Though Centineo didn’t appear on XO, Kitty season 3 after a cameo in season 2, Lara Jean shared some disheartening news about her and Peter early in the season.
Lara Jean and Peter were struggling early in the season, with LJ telling Kitty that the pair were dealing with the issues of having “completely incompatible lifestyles” while living in New York and LA, respectively. Later in the season, Lara Jean shared that she and Peter were broken up, and though Kitty believed wholeheartedly they’d fix things, LJ wasn’t so sure about their future.
In XO, Kitty season 3’s finale, Lara Jean reveals that she and Peter are going to work things out. While she doesn’t delve into details about what that means, she shares that they’ve talked about their relationship and want to make it work, because the love is still there between them. Kitty, who was their original matchmaker, was happy for her sister.
XO, Kitty’s Broken Romances Reconciled Throughout The Episode
Throughout XO, Kitty season 3, there were intense relationships throughout the group at KISS far beyond Kitty and Moon Ho. Though not every relationship was meant to last, like the connection between Marius (Sule Thelwell) and Q (Anthony Keyvan), many of the relationships that XO, Kitty season 2 laid the groundwork for found their way back to each other throughout season 3.
As the end of the season, Kitty and Min Ho weren’t the only couple who managed to get back together. After a season full of miscommunication and a slight pregnancy scare, Dae and Eunice finally got back together and seemed happy throughout the episode. While their relationship was already back on track, the rest of XO, Kitty’s couples still had some conversations to get through.
Throughout XO, Kitty season 3, it’s been clear that Yuri Han (Gia Kim) was dealing with a lot more than her past relationship with Julianna Porter (Regan Aliyah), but she’s been interested in getting back together for quite some time. After Julianna and Praveena Bhakti (Sasha Bhasin) broke up, Yuri and Julianna seemed like they were on their way back to each other.
The pair finally found common ground during XO, Kitty’s finale, with Julianna finally ready to let Yuri back in after the fiasco of XO, Kitty season 2. Similarly, Q’s relationship with Jin Lee (Joshua Hyunho Lee) struggled all season, but during the XO, Kitty season 3 finale, Jin finally forgave Q for his summertime sexts with Marius, taking him back for the new semester.
Alex & Jiwon Finally Come Clean About Her Pregnancy
XO, Kitty season 3 introduced the relationship between Professor Alex Finnerty (Peter Thurnwald) and Kitty’s cousin, Jiwon Ahn (Hojo Shin). Though the pair were secretly dating throughout the first few episodes of the season, things came to light and changed quickly when Kitty found Jiwon’s pregnancy test in the trash. The pair, who had been hiding their romance, had to shift gears.
By the end of XO, Kitty season 3, the couple had to make the decision to reveal their relationship and Jiwon’s pregnancy to her disapproving grandmother. While it wasn’t a quick acceptance, Kitty helped Jiwon and her grandmother reconcile, then brought Alex into their lives, hoping to rebuild a new sense of family between them.
Kitty’s 18th Birthday Brings The Group Back Together
XO, Kitty season 3 ended on a high note, bringing all of Kitty’s friends from KISS together for an epic birthday bash. While Kitty was ready to throw her own party, her friends figured out how to surprise her with an epic event, getting together for something special. Honoring Kitty and making it clear she’d brought them together, the party was a sweet sendoff for the XO, Kitty crew.
