Legend Of Zelda Official 40th Anniversary Release Confirmed For June

The Legend of Zelda officially turns 40 years old this year, and while it’s a huge milestone for fans of the franchise, Nintendo still hasn’t revealed anything massive to celebrate the momentous occasion. However, there’s one anniversary announcement that players will definitely want to mark their calendars for, and it officially launches in June 2026.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild makes its official return this summer with a gigantic new release that players can pre-order right now, and it’s one of the first major anniversary celebrations that fans of the franchise will be truly excited about (via Nintendo).

The Legend Of Zelda Fans Should Mark Their Calendars For June 19

The Legend of Zelda fans will want to mark their calendars for June 2026 with the exciting release of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild vinyl soundtrack collection, a sprawling 8-vinyl anthology collection of the masterpiece’s iconic and beloved music. The collection is available for pre-order now via the Nintendo store, with both a double LP or premium 8-LP box set collection available.

The music collection is brought to you by Nintendo and Laced Records and is scheduled to officially launch on June 19, 2026, featuring a “limited-edition colored vinyl or standard black vinyl and featuring archival artwork created by the game development team.” The double LP Limited edition vinyl sets include 34 tracks on “blue-and-white marbled heavyweight discs packaged in a wide-spined outer sleeve with printed inner sleeve.”

“The limited-edition 8-LP Box Set features alternative blue and gold splatter effect heavyweight discs with printed disc inners and spined inner sleeves, housed in a rigid board dual slipcase,” and features over 130 newly remastered tracks. The vinyl collections will retail for $40 and $180 for the 2-LP and 8-LP versions, respectively.
