As you may have noticed, June 7 is roughly around when E3 would have been if it were still a thing, so it should be a pretty big showcase. Here are all the details we know so far from the Xbox Wire.
Xbox Games Showcase 2026 Dates & Times
Where To Stream The Summer Showcase
On Sunday, June 7, at 1 PM ET, we’ll learn more about the future of Xbox software with the Xbox Games Showcase 2026 presentation. The company promises, “Huge news on upcoming titles from our first-party studios across the Xbox family, as well as our third-party partners around the globe, from the biggest franchises to soon-to-be indie darlings.”
Interestingly, Xbox is also using this opportunity to highlight Gears of War: E-Day, which is getting its own Direct stream immediately after the show. As a reminder, E-Day is an “origin story” for the series and serves as a prequel for when the Locusts emerged to kick off their war against humanity.

There’s another wrinkle this year, too. Since it’s the 25th anniversary of the Xbox brand, the company is holding a real-life Xbox FanFest event that “looks back at the last 25 years” and will serve as a “double feature” for the stream. You can sign up for tickets here on Xbox.com, and the promotion ends on April 12.
There’s more to come, too, so expect lots of big gaming news (including multiplatform and PC announcements) on June 7: “The double feature also kicks off a week’s worth of coverage here on Xbox Wire, the Official Xbox Podcast, and the Xbox YouTube channel, featuring updates, extra details, and deep-dives on many of the games you’ll see in the show.”

What Will The “Next-Box” Look Like?
Many Xbox fans (and the public at large) are wondering what Xbox has in store for the next generation. In fact, when is the next generation coming, and is it really in late 2027, despite global supply chain issues and hardware shortages?
We’ll likely have a better idea of what Xbox is planning for the long term later this year. For now, we’ll at least learn about what games are coming to the Xbox Series X/S in 2026 and beyond.
