NHAI said the fee revision has been carried out in line with the provisions of the National Highways Fee (Determination of Rates and Collection) Rules, 2008.
These rules govern the determination and collection of toll charges on national highways.
Toll collection
As per NHAI, the revised annual pass will apply to eligible non-commercial vehicles such as cars, jeeps and vans equipped with a valid FASTag electronic toll collection system, enabling them to use the facility across about 1,150 fee plazas located on national highways and national expressways.
Besides, the annual pass allows users to avoid frequent FASTag recharges by making a one-time payment that provides validity for one year or up to 200 toll plaza crossings.
The facility is available exclusively for non-commercial vehicles with an active FASTag.
Furthermore, the annual pass becomes operational within two hours of payment once it is linked to the existing FASTag registered to the vehicle.
The payment can be completed through the Rajmarg Yatra App or through the NHAI website.
Notably, the FASTag Annual Pass was launched on August 15, 2025, as part of efforts to streamline toll collection and provide a more convenient payment option for highway users.
Since its launch, the pass has seen growing adoption among private vehicle owners, with more than 56 lakh users opting for the facility, according to the authority.
