Real estate developer Omaxe Limited on Wednesday announced it will name a stand at its upcoming cricket stadium in Dwarka after Harmanpreet Kaur, captain of the Indian Women’s Cricket Team.

The stand, located in the North Pavilion Lower Bowl of the 30,000-seater venue, will have over 1,500 seats and serve as India’s first dedicated “Pink Stand” — a space designed for women and families.

The announcement was made at a press conference at The Omaxe State project site in Dwarka Sector 19B, attended by Kaur, Omaxe MD Mohit Goel, and representatives from design firm Bentel Associates International.

The Pink Stand concept was developed in consultation with Kaur, who Omaxe had signed as brand ambassador ahead of India’s ICC Women’s World Cup victory in 2025. The company said this makes Kaur the first woman cricketer in India to have two stadium stands named after her.

Omaxe also announced that Bentel Associates International — a firm with over six decades of global experience — has been appointed as architecture and interior consultant for the commercial, hotel, and club components of The Omaxe State. The firm will design India’s first fully air-conditioned retail high-street, the five-star Gateway Hotel by IHCL, and a membership-based sports club.

The Omaxe State spans over 50 acres and carries an investment of approximately ₹2,500 crore, developed in partnership with the Delhi Development Authority. Beyond cricket, the venue is designed to host basketball, badminton, esports, and international concerts. The project includes a 158-key hotel with 40 stadium-view suites and retail spanning 48,000 sq.mt.

Omaxe’s stock closed at ₹71.05 on NSE on Wednesday, up 1.28 per cent on the day, though the company has reported losses for eight consecutive quarters.
