After acquiring BET, Paramount is preparing to shut down its streaming service BET+.
As part of the transition, Paramount will merge the streaming service with its own. The company will also but back the minority ownership stake in BET+ that was previously held by Tyler Perry. The filmmaker had a 25% stake in the platform. Final details regarding the transaction have not be disclosed to the public.
