With over 88 cards in the new set, Perfect Order taps into the franchise’s release of Pokémon Legends: Z-A for inspiration. The exciting new expansion brings Mega Zygarde into the picture, but against all odds, this Pokémon isn’t the most expensive one of the set. As of April 1st, you can find the ten most expensive TCG cards from Perfect Order below:
10
Perfect Order Clefairy; Illustration Rare: $34
At $34 USD, Perfect Order’s Clefairy is a lovely card illustrated by Cona Nitanda. The whimsical card art shows Clefairy enjoying a bit of cloud watching in the evening. And as for its move set, the card comes loaded with both Follow Me and Flop.
9
Perfect Order Mega Clefable EX; Special Illustration Rare: $150
If you want to level up your deck from Clefairy, then Clefable is your go-to pick in Perfect Order. With the card going for roughly $150 USD, Mega Clefable EX is a solid psychic card to collect. Not only is Cona Nitanda’s art vibrant in this pull, but it comes packed with two great abilities:
- Luminous Wing: Prevent all effects of your opponent’s Pokémon’s Abilities done to this Pokémon.
- Shooting Moons: You may discard up to 4 Energy cards from your hand, and this attack does 40 more damage for each card you discard in this way.
8
Perfect Order Mega Starmie EX; Special Illustration Rare: $180
If there is one Mega Evolution to add to your collection, Mega Starmie EX is just the pull you need. Though the card retails up to $180, Perfect Order does Starmie justice with its Special Illustration Rare. The card puts Mega Starmie’s uncomfortably long legs center stage, and it comes loaded with two key moves:
- Jetting Blow: This attack also does 50 damage to 1 of your opponent’s Benched Pokémon.
- Nebula Beam: This attack’s damage isn’t affected by Weakness or Resistance, or by any effects on your opponent’s Active Pokémon.
7
Perfect Order Rosa’s Encouragement; Special Illustration Rare: $240
Pokémon TCG collectors love few things more than full-art cards of their favorite trainers, so there was never a doubt Rosa would sell quickly. Perfect Order’s SIR of Rosa’s Encouragement will set you back upwards of $240, but the price is worth it for Iori Suzuki’s artwork. The support card also comes with a solid buff if you have more prize cards in hand than your opponent. If so, this card will allow you to “attach up to 2 Basic Energy cards from your discard pile to 1 of your Stage 2 Pokémon.”
Pokémon fans cannot resist a rare promo card, and Perfect Order has those collectibles in spades. Online, the going rate for the expansion’s promo Serperior pull runs over $300. The card, which comes with a promo stamp, features two solid grass-type moves: Regal Command and Solar Coiling.
Again, the fervor behind promo cards cannot be underestimated when it comes to Pokémon. The release of Perfect Order sent collectors scrambling online, and over on eBay, a sealed Best Buy promo for Luxray sold for a staggering $400. The card, which boasts a printed promo logo, features Luxray in battle alongside two attacks: Incessant Onslaught and Strong Volt.
4
Perfect Order Meowth EX; Special Illustration Rare: $400
Meowth knows the Internet loves him, and the Pokémon can now prove it thanks to eBay. Perfect Order features a bright Special Illustration Rare of Meowth that is full art and fully gorgeous. The sought-after EX card has sold for upwards of $400 since Perfect Order dropped, and it comes with two solid moves for players to strategize with:
- Last-Ditch Catch: Once during your turn, when you play this Pokémon from your hand onto your Bench, you may use this Ability. Search your deck for a Supporter card, reveal it, and put it into your hand. Then, shuffle your deck. You can’t use more than 1 Ability that has “Last-Ditch” in its name each turn.
- Tuck Tail: Put this Pokémon and all attached cards into your hand.
3
Perfect Order Mega Zygarde EX; Special Illustration Rare: $425
As the mascot of Perfect Order, there was never a doubt Zygarde’s rare cards would make bank. This prediction was spot on Mega Zygarde EX as the set’s special illustration rare sold on eBay for $425 upon its release. The psychedelic full-art card is a testament to illustrator Kantaro, and Mega Zygarde EX comes complete with two impressive moves:
- Gaia Wave: During your opponent’s next turn, this Pokémon takes 30 less damage from attacks.
- Nullifying Zero: For each of your opponent’s Pokémon, flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 150 damage to that Pokémon.
2
Perfect Order Mega Zygarde EX; Hyper Rare: $693
In the actual set itself, no card in Perfect Order is more desired than the Hyper Rare Mega Zygarde EX pull. The gold card is not only gorgeous but telling of its total price. You could buy literal gold jewelry for less than this pull on the secondhand market, after all. Upon its release, the Hyper Rare card sold for nearly $700, and its market value is still hovering around $200 days later.
When we said Pokémon fans are a sucker for promos, we may have undersold it. Perfect Order may be all about Mega Zygarde, but the set’s most expensive card to date is a promo of Gengar. GameStop’s Gengar promo with its printed logo and swirly art sent the Internet into a tizzy ahead of the expansion’s release. A sealed mint edition of this Gengar promo sold for $1,200 on eBay, and sets of this card are still reselling for hundreds of dollars.
