Despite the global crude selloff, retail fuel prices in most Indian cities remained unchanged or saw only marginal movement on March 10. Petrol in Delhi held at ₹94.77 per litre while diesel stayed at ₹87.67. In Mumbai, petrol was priced at ₹103.50, down ₹0.04, and diesel at ₹90.03, unchanged. Hyderabad recorded the highest petrol price among major metros at ₹107.46, with diesel at ₹95.70, both unchanged.
Among other cities, Patna saw a notable uptick with petrol rising ₹0.37 to ₹105.60 and diesel climbing ₹0.35 to ₹91.84. Ahmedabad petrol rose ₹0.37 to ₹94.97. Lucknow saw a slight easing, with petrol down ₹0.17 to ₹94.52 and diesel falling ₹0.20 to ₹87.61. Pune recorded petrol at ₹104.88 and diesel at ₹91.37, with both rising marginally from the previous session.
Bengalurudiesel stood at ₹91.06 and petrol at ₹103.50. Chennai petrol was priced at ₹101.06 and diesel at ₹92.39. Thane petrol fell ₹0.07 to ₹103.84 while diesel eased to ₹90.35.
The recent period of elevated crude prices had been squeezing margins in energy-intensive sectors, with higher diesel and petcoke costs pressuring logistics and infrastructure industries. Tuesday’s crude decline may offer some relief if sustained.
