However, it’s possible we’ll be getting not one, but TWO new Eeveelutions in Winds and Waves. Over on X, the fan account SoulSilverArt shared why they’re convinced two new Eevee evolutions are on the way, and it makes for a convincing argument. “If nearly everything in Nemona’s house in SV was a hint to future games(especially Gen10)…then that leaves this painting of 2 Eevee unaccounted for,” they wrote.
“Yeah…I’m like 90% sure we’re gonna get two new Eeveelutions in Pokémon Winds and Waves,” they continued in the post, showing off images to support the claim. You can view the full post above.
Could We Get Two New Eeveelutions For Pokémon Winds & Waves?
This is a great argument to make, but it could also just be hinting at an Eevee variant, similar to the two new Pikachu designs we saw in the Winds and Waves trailer. Eevee has also gotten new forms thanks to previous gimmicks like Gigantamax and Terastal phenomenon. The tease from Nemona’s house in Scarlet and Violet doesn’t necessarily mean new Eevee evolutions, even though that’d be pretty awesome.
Of course, there’s also been a number of leaks regarding a new Eevee evolution, which lends a bit more credence to SoulSilverArt’s theory. There’s almost always new Eevee evolution rumors around a new mainline Pokémon game, but it admittedly feels like there have been more lately surrounding Gen 10.
The Last Eeveelution Was In 2013
New Eevee evolution rumors and alleged leaks are nothing new in Pokémon. Since Sylveon arrived in X and Y during Gen 6, we haven’t gotten any new Eeveelutions, leaving the fanbase hungry for another. Since 2013, a new Eevee evolution has been rumored for just about every mainline game.
It’s understandable that fans want more. Eeveelutions are popular Pokémon who’ve made it into just about every game and spin-off since Gen 1 and have been heavily featured on merchandise and cards. Getting at least one new Eeveelution into Gen 10 would be great, but two would be incredible.
While nothing is official yet, the theory behind two new Eevee evolutions in Pokémon Winds and Waves makes sense. It’s an exciting idea for sure, so maybe we’ll find out soon if it’s an accurate prediction or not.
