Since its launch just 24-hours ago, Pokémon Pokopia has already shot to the top of the Nintendo Switch charts, and with many fans saying it could be 2026’s Game of the Year, it is no wonder that Nintendo want to celebrate this great achievement with some freebies.
Pokémon Pokopia’s First Mystery Gift Is Easy To Claim
In Pokémon Pokopia, players are able to get their hands on Mystery Gifts which are only available for a limited time. However, if you want to get your hands on all of them and not miss out, the items in question and their expiration times have been unveiled, and the first one is up for grabs now. Labelled ‘NEW’, the mystery gifts can range from all manner of items which you can use in-game, and this time, a Ditto Rug is up for grabs. Available until 1 February 2027, it is safe to say that you have quite some time to redeem this one.
So how do you redeem? Pokopia players simply must purchase the game ahead of the deadline, and use the ‘Get via Internet’ option from the Mystery Gift menu. Once you have downloaded the item, the game will save and the “transaction” will be complete. For those who do not know, the Mystery Gift menu can be accessed via the in-game PC, which, in turn, is unlocked once you follow Professor Tangrowth to the derelict structure. Once you have completed at least one challenge on the PC, the Mystery Gift menu will unlock.
Pokémon Pokopia Will Keep The Mystery Gifts Coming
As long as your Nintendo Switch 2 is connected to the internet, you will be able to find and download the Ditto Rug, and luckily, this item is currently the only one available, so you have not missed out on any prior freebies. However, what this does mean, is that plenty more items will be up for grabs in the future. Judging from the Ditto Rug, we can assume that this will include all manner of furniture and cosmetics for our Pokopia world, and with decoration at the heart of the game, we need all the help we can get.
