The action movie, which was directed by The Witcher: Blood Origin‘s Vicky Jewson, debuted on Prime Video on March 25. It follows ballerinas fighting a violent gang after being stranded at an isolated inn outside Budapest, boasting a robust ensemble cast that includes Maddie Ziegler (My Old Ass), Lana Condor (To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before), Avantika (2024’s Mean Girls), Millicent Simmonds (A Quiet Place), and Iris Apatow (The Bubble), alongside Oscar nominee Uma Thurman (Kill Bill). Pretty Lethal reviews have been mixed to positive, earning it a Fresh score of 63% on the review aggregator platform Rotten Tomatoes.
FlixPatrol, which uses proprietary methodology to track the performance of streaming titles, shows that Pretty Lethal is the third most-watched movie on Prime Video worldwide at the time of writing. It is only behind the Spanish espionage movie Agent Zeta (No. 2) and the Chris Pratt sci-fi thriller Mercy (No. 1).
However, in the day since the new Prime Video action movie premiered, it has already surged past a number of prominent Prime Video titles, including the new Priyanka Chopra Jonas action movie The Bluff (No. 4), the YA romance Sidelined: The QB and Me (No. 5), the Keanu Reeves comedy Good Fortune (No. 6), and the buddy cop movie The Wrecking Crew (No. 7), which co-stars Dave Bautista and Jason Momoa.
Additionally, on Prime Video‘s own Top 10 chart of their highest-performing titles in the United States, which includes both movies and television titles, Pretty Lethal is currently at No. 5, behind just one movie (Mercy at No. 3) and three series (Invincible at No. 1, Scarpetta at No. 2, and Young Sherlock at No. 4).
FlixPatrol‘s data shows that the movie, which made its chart debut today across the board, is performing similarly well in a variety of other regions across the globe. In addition to the United States, it is in the Top 10 in more than three dozen territories and the Top 5 in roughly 30 of them.
Overall, on the charts for individual regions, 2026’s Pretty Lethal has peaked at No. 1, a chart position it holds in Brazil, Chile, and Colombia. However, it is the No. 2 movie in nine more territories. In addition to the United States, this roster includes Argentina, Australia, Canada, Finland, France, Norway, Peru, and Sweden. In each of those territories, it is behind either Agent Zeta or Mercy.
It is entirely possible that Pretty Lethal could surge in the coming days and hit No. 1 in even more territories. However, even if it doesn’t, if it maintains its current chart performance for several weeks, it could cement itself as a major hit and potentially even earn itself a sequel.
Should that be the case, Pretty Lethal would become Uma Thurman’s second Prime Video movie in a row to spawn a franchise. Her most recent project for the platform was the 2023 LGBTQ+ romance adaptation Red, White, & Royal Blue, which is being followed by the upcoming sequel Red, White & Royal Wedding, a title that will see her reprising her role as President Ellen Claremont.
