Prime Video’s ‘Reacher’ Takes Over the World Again Ahead of Alan Ritchson’s Season 4 Return

When you’re hungry for an entertaining weekend binge-watch, action thriller shows are usually the best titles to seek out. Prime Video is home to one of the best action shows around, a series that has smashed its way into the hearts of action fans via bone-crunching fights and epic one-liners. The Amazon streaming service is home to Alan Ritchson‘s hard-hitting character, Jack Reacher, who seems to have a knack for punching his way through any issue while employing significant guile as well.

The Prime Video hit — which is based on the Jack Reacher novels by Lee Child — has already proven itself a fan-favorite, so much so that an expansion of the franchise on screen is in the works with an upcoming Neagley spin-off. In the meantime, though, the focus of fans remains firmly on the already confirmed Season 4. Prime Video has already announced that the next chapter of the series will adapt Gone Tomorrow, the 13th novel in Child’s bestselling series. Fists might not do Reacher a world of good in the upcoming season, which arrives with a psychological twist. The titular character comes up against the most unsettling villains the character has ever faced.

As anticipation builds for the fourth season, Reacher is making a comeback of sorts on the global streaming charts. According to data obtained from FlixPatrol, the series has surged to the top of the streaming charts on Prime Video, currently trending in 10+ countries, including France, Germany, South Africa, and Switzerland. With a critics’ score of 96% on Rotten Tomatoes and an audience score of 80%, the series showcases its broad appeal. Reacher‘s resurgence on the streaming charts is also quite timely, especially coming after Ritchson confirmed that Season 4 will be released this year, saying, “Well, we finished shooting Season 4 of Reacher. It’s by far the best season we’ve had yet, so it’s coming. It’ll be out this year.”

What Will Reacher’s Fourth Season Present?

Since the Prime Video hit premiered in 2022, Jack Reacher’s fists have plowed through several bad guys. Perhaps television’s most efficient human battering ram, Reacher came up against his match when Season 3’s towering villain Paulie, played by Olivier Richters, came on the scene. In that matchup, a mixture of brains and brawn proved superior. Season 4 of Reacher will be a lot more personal and layered in what has been described as a more politically charged mystery for the character. Looking ahead to the coming season, Ritchson revealed what fans might expect:

“It’s a gauntlet. I mean, it’s just a labyrinth of fights. We shot 11 fights in the first four weeks, and we’ve never shot anything close to that pace. Everywhere Reacher turns, he’s got another group on his heels. It’s fun, wild, and nonstop, and we haven’t done anything like it yet. Usually, by the end of the day, it’s a sweet mixture of both fake and real blood.”

Reacher Season 4 will premiere at a later date in 2026. Stay tuned to Collider for more updates.
