Reacher Star Alan Ritchson Caught Allegedly Beating Up Neighbor On Video

Audiences will be seeing a lot of the actor this year. He’s coming off the Netflix movie War Machine, which debuted to big viewership, and he’ll soon reprise his breakout role as Jack Reacher for Reacher season 4. But he’s now in the headlines for a very different reason.

TMZ released a video of Ritchson caught in an altercation with his neighbor. Ronnie Taylor, the alleged victim, claimed the situation began on Saturday when Ritchson was riding his green Kawasaki motorcycle through their quiet Nashville suburb. Taylor claims Ritchson was traveling at excessive speed, revving the engine loudly, and disturbing the peace. Taylor admits he flipped Ritchson off and claims the actor responded with the same gesture.

Then, at around noon on Sunday, Taylor alleges Ritchson came through the neighborhood again, speeding once again, according to Taylor, and this time with two youngsters on their own motorbikes. Taylor says he told Ritchson directly, “Can you f–king stop this please?” and goes on to say that the argument soon turned physical. The fight is captured in TMZ’s video below:

Taylor says that he went to the cops and reported that Ritchson punched him in the face and kicked him, further alleging that Ritchson fell off his bike, stood up once again, and attempted to run him off.

From there, Taylor says that Ritchson hit Taylor in the back of the head and accuses the actor of hitting him “at least four times” and leaving him with bruises and swelling. Taylor concludes by noting that Ritchson drove him and adds that he did not go to the hospital.

In a brief follow-up story from TMZ, which cites sources close to Ritchson, the actor did not initiate the fight. According to these sources, Ritchson was pushed off his bike twice by Taylor before the beatdown seen in the video.

The sources note that witnesses saw Ritchson riding his motorcycle, ahead of his two children on their minibikes, on Sunday afternoon. Taylor then ran into the street in a “really aggressive manner” in an effort to block Ritchson. As a result, the sources say, Ritchson crashed and fell off his motorcycle, suffering cuts and bruises.

In this telling, Taylor dared Ritchson to hit him while yelling at the actor, who was still on the ground. It’s said that the Blue Mountain State star initially tried to de-escalate the situation by getting on his bike to leave. However, Taylor responded by shoving Ritchson to the ground, which led to the explosive situation caught on video.

Law enforcement sources confirmed that they are investigating an incident involving Ritchson and Taylor. No arrests have been made, and nothing has been said as far as how the incident may or may not impact Ritchson’s upcoming projects. Reacher season 4 is slated to be released this year on Prime Video, though a specific date hasn’t been announced.
