Between all these projects, though, comes a new fantasy movie that Ferguson has been tapped to star in with Andrew Garfield. She’s been tapped as one of the leads in The Magic Faraway Tree, the new fantasy film based on the novel that was first published in 1939. The Magic Faraway Tree began playing in theaters internationally this past weekend, but the film is still lacking distribution in America. Still, it has earned enough reviews to be given a score on the aggregate site Rotten Tomatoes, and it’s leaving its mark with a perfect 100% debut. It’s officially Ferguson’s highest-rated movie of 2026, following Mercy at 25% and The Immortal Man at 91%. This perfect 100% score from critics for The Magic Faraway Tree also comes from 22 reviews, so while it is a relatively small sample size that could yet change, it’s enough to be taken seriously.

Who Does Rebecca Ferguson Play in ‘Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man’?
Rebecca Ferguson primarily plays Kaulo in The Immortal Man, the twin sister of Zelda (whom Ferguson also plays). Zelda is Tommy Shelby’s former love and the mother of Duke (Barry Keoghan), and Kaulo can channel her inner sister and speak to Tommy through the same Gypsie magic that fans of the original series are familiar with. Ferguson plays a key role in the ongoing conflict between Tommy and his son Duke, acting as the Polly Gray (Helen McCrory) of The Immortal Man. Ferguson has also not ruled out a return to Peaky Blinders after the film, potentially in the new sequel series being developed at Netflix.
