Schedule 1 Just Got A Massive Free March 2026 Update

Schedule 1 is among the most popular indie crime simulation games ever made, with developer TVGS (Tyler’s Video Game Studio) continuously adding new features since its launch in 2025. After the most recent addition of Shrooms in Schedule 1, fans weren’t sure what to expect next, but a brand-new update just rolled out.

Schedule 1 just launched a brand-new update with version 0.4.4 introducing dynamic weather to the mix in Hyland Point, as well as multiple new features and bug fixes, and it’s entirely free to download and enjoy now (via Steam).

New Schedule 1 Update Adds Dynamic Weather

Schedule 1‘s weather update adds a completely new dynamic to the game, introducing various weather events that can occur randomly throughout the day/night. Schedule 1‘s new weather system will affect gameplay in several different ways, and will now include the following:

  • Clear
  • Overcast
  • Foggy
  • Light rain
  • Heavy rain
  • Lightning

Weather will impact gameplay in different ways, such as “weather-specific NPC greetings” and a “rainy bonus” that gives you additional money when completing deals in the rain. The weather events themselves are just the tip of the iceberg, however, with several improvements and system overhauls introduced as well.

For example, the entire day/night-cycle system has been rebuilt, the settings menu has been revamped with a new layout, “police will now alternate between two locations during their sentry behavior” and they will “no longer tase you if you’re within arrest distance.” Further, the warehouse worker limit has been increased from 10 to 12 employees, not to mention several other quality-of-life updates.

TVGS stated the following regarding the long-awaited weather update:

We’ve worked really hard on optimisation for this update – the new weather system has almost zero performance impact, even during the most visually complex effects. We’ve also made a number of rendering optimisations to existing parts of the game. In our testing, FPS seems to be 5-10% HIGHER compared to the previous version of the game.

Schedule 1 Mod Support Is On The Way

Aside from the massive new changes to Schedule 1 introduced with the weather update, TVGS have provided an update on the status of mod support, stating that “as each major game system is rebuilt and cleaned up, it will also simultaneously be prepared for mod support. This means that when we do enable mod support, it will be a much faster and seamless process.”

Schedule 1 players have been waiting patiently for mod support to be enabled since the game’s launch last year. Obviously, the small team of devs at TVGS are extremely busy, and it’s understandable why mod support has taken a while, but fans will be happy to learn that the feature is definitely happening sooner rather than later.
