While everyone’s looking for something to fill the void left by Solo Leveling, Tomb Raider King is steadily inching closer to its big premiere this Summer. Copycat allegations aside, Tomb Raider King’s anime is looking better than ever in its newest trailer.
Every New Webtoon Anime Coming in 2026 (Confirmed List)
Webtoons are preparing to take over 2026. Here are all the manhwa and webtoon anime adaptations fans should keep an eye out for in the coming months.
Solo Leveling’s Biggest Rival Just Dropped A New Sneak Peek
Tomb Raider King’s official X handle and website recently dropped a new character teaser introducing several key characters and their respective Japanese voice actors. Although only a character trailer, the teaser does give fans a much better look at the series, which arguably looks even better than the last trailer unveiled earlier this January.
As per the announcement, Seo Joo-heon, the protagonist of the series, will be voiced by Yoshimasa Hosoya, who notably voices Reiner in Attack on Titan. Also joining the cast is Saori Hayami, the voice of Yor in Spy x Family, as Irene Holton, Junichi Suwabe as Kwon Tae-joon, Miyu Irino as Yoo Jae-ha, and Nobuhiko Okamoto as Oh Seug-woo.
Besides the casting, Tomb Raider King’s anime has also unveiled a new stunning key visual featuring Joo-heon surrounded by relics. The anime is currently set to debut in July 2026 and is being produced by STUDIO EEK, a South Korean animation studio.
Tomb Raider King Is Coming for Solo Leveling’s Empty Throne
Overall, with no news of Season 3 of the anime and the sequel manhwa, Solo Leveling: Ragnarok, also being on hiatus, things have been far too quiet lately on Solo Leveling’s end. The hype surrounding the series is certainly beginning to quiet down, and it seems like Tomb Raider King is preparing to swoop right in and steal the show in the meantime.
Tomb Raider King caused quite a stir only a few months prior when the anime dropped its first teaser, prompting immediate comparisons to Solo Leveling. There’s no denying the two series do share many similarities, with the two manhwa both being power fantasies produced by Redice Studio. The two also feature very similar character designs and even some similar-looking enemies.
That said, when it comes down to the details, Tomb Raider King and Solo Leveling do have their differences and tell quite distinct stories, with Tomb Raider King’s whole premise being centered around revenge, regression, and relics. Even so, with fans desperately craving more power fantasy action, Tomb Raider King is on its way to becoming Solo Leveling’s replacement, whether it intended to or not.
