Prime Video’s crime lineup is crowded with loud, macho franchises like Reacher and Cross, and even recent popular newcomers like Scarpetta and Young Sherlock, which makes one particular show’s rise more interesting. It’s a darker, tighter British heist thriller that’s spreading by word of mouth. Not to mention, Sophie Turner’s post-Game of Thrones pull is a big part of the hook, but the real binge engine is the premise.

The show follows an everyday finance workplace that turns into a hostage-driven operation that drains billions in pension money, then flips into a paranoia spiral about who inside helped make it possible. It’s built to make you question motives scene by scene. That particular premise seems to be sticking well. On Rotten Tomatoes, the show has a 79% score from critics and 66% from audiences. And on Prime Video’s Top 10s, instead of spiking and vanishing, like a temporary hit, the show seems to be holding. It’s #5 in Belgium across multiple days in the last week, #9 in Canada and #9 in France, #7 in the UK, #7 in Ireland, #6 in Nigeria, and #8 in Egypt, with long runs parked around #7–#10 in several territories.

The title is Steal, and it’s a six-episode series, short enough to be a side-binge, structured enough to feel like a complete thriller meal. Prime Video’s own synopsis frames it as “the heist of the century” centered on Zara (Turner) after armed thieves force staff to execute the theft, while detective Rhys (Jacob Fortune-Lloyd) races to identify who engineered it and why.
