Whether you’re into sprawling single-player RPGs or indie puzzlers, you don’t usually have to wait too long to pick up great releases for a discount on their usual RRP. At the same time, the platform also happily hosts demos for games whenever developers wish to make them available, allowing consumers to make an informed choice before they part with their hard-earned cash.
Now, the latest of those events is ongoing, and there are all sorts of fun offers to take advantage of before it goes away for good.
Steam Gamers Have Until April 6 To Grab These Freebies
Over on the storefront, you should be able to see that the Steam House & Home Fest is currently ongoing until April 6, putting cozy home-based games in the spotlight, with everything from simulators to puzzle games currently on sale.
At the same time, if you head to the points store, you can find three profile customization items that are tied to the event, and which will go away forever when it ends. Those are the Cozy Corner Animated Avatar, the Rustic Trim Avatar Frame and the Snoozer Animated Sticker, all of which are available for free if you have the requisite Steam Points (which most regular users will).
Steam’s House & Home Fest Also Has Dozens Of Demos
At the same time, the Steam House and Home Fest is hosting dozens of game demos from across the genre spectrum that you should definitely try out. If you like them, all the full games the demos are tied to are currently reduced, so it’s as good a time to buy them as any.
On the simulation side of things, Builder Simulator is probably the main highlight, alongside Power Wash Simulator 1 and 2, all of which are available at a reduced rate if you do end up enjoying them. Whisper of the House is a 2D pixel art puzzle/hidden object game that’s easily the best reviewed of the bunch, sitting on an Overwhelmingly Positive rating from almost 2000 individual pieces of feedback.
There’s plenty more where that came from, so it’s well worth getting out there and having a look for yourself. Just make sure to do it before all the Steam fun stops on April 6.
