The House and Home Fest is the latest example, with a bunch of simulator and cozy home building games available to pick up at a massively reduced rate, almost all of which come with free demos to try before you buy. Outside of that, there are other discounts on offer more generally, and one game is currently available for the fabled 100% off that’s well worth your consideration.
Steam Gamers Can Save 100% On This Game
Over on Steam, you should be able to find the page Depths Of Horror: Mushroom Day, a first-person survival horror game that currently sits on Mostly Positive reviews on Steam. Even better than that, it’s available to download and keep at no cost if you manage to get your hands on it before April 6.
Developed by TakeThem Games, Mushroom Day follows a character who has decided to try their hand at mushroom picking for the first time, as part of National Mushroom Day. After stumbling upon an abandoned hut, you explore it and eventually find yourself in a cave filled with horrendous creatures and unexpected inhabitants.
There’s plenty of storytelling involved, much of which is delivered by the main character’s exposition, and the game promises to put plenty of events in your way so you aren’t wandering around for too long without anything happening.
The developer has also put plenty of effort into making sure everything is exactly as they had it in mind, with the cave systems all handmade and no procedural generation in sight.
You Don’t Have Mushroom For Error
As with any genre entry in the same ilk as Mushroom Day, it’s all about ramping up the tension and getting away from monsters, rather than taking them on directly. As such, you don’t have mushroom for error (sorry), and it should be quite a thrilling playthrough if you give it the time of day.
Equally, with absolutely no risk to your hard-earned finances, it’s difficult to argue against giving the game a go while it’s subject to such a drastic sale. so make sure to head over to Steam before it goes away forever on April 6.
