First up is The Riftbreaker, a solo or co-op base-building, survival game mixed with action RPG elements. With up to three friends, you can build up your base, craft powerful weapons, research new inventions, and most importantly, use hack-and-slash combat to take out hordes of enemies. Developed by EXOR Studios, The Riftbreaker was first released back in 2021, but with a ‘Very Positive’ rating on Steam to this day, it is clear to see that this is not one to sleep on. Now, with Update 2.0 recently being launched, it is the perfect time to dive into this base-building action RPG.
Next is Cities: Skylines, which you have all no doubt heard of. Released back in 2015 as part of the long-running franchise, this entry tasked players with building and maintaining their very own city “in a modern take on the classic city simulation”. Since its addition to Steam, it has racked up almost 100,000 reviews, and with its rating being ‘Very Positive’, it is no doubt that all base-building fans will not want to miss out on this one for the second time. Now free to download until 9 March, Cities: Skylines is part of a deal we can’t ignore.

With both a campaign and sandbox mode, how you approach Parkitect is completely up to you, but with endless possibilities available, you will be spending a lot of time in this building extravaganza.
