Paramount+ has had a relatively light slate of new streaming releases in March 2026, forcing subscribers to lean into its arsenal of Sheridan series and other popular franchises such as Dexter and Star Trek. That said, Paramount+ is still one of the top streaming platforms for premium series and offers a few underrated hidden gems that have flown under the radar but are still worthwhile.
The Madison
Sheridan’s neo-Western drama series remains one of the top new series to binge-watch this weekend on Paramount+. Featuring performances by Michelle Pfeiffer, Kurt Russel, Matthew Fox, and more, The Madison is easy to binge at just 6 episodes, although its subject matter can get quite heavy, exploring themes of tragedy, grief, and keeping a dysfunctional family from falling apart.
The Madison is unlike any other Sheridan series before it, which is partly why it has sparked a divide in its critical reception, resulting in a Rotten Tomatoes score of just 60%. At the same time, it also has many of Sheridan’s signature characteristics, such as a meandering story that is prone to sprawling detours, which can either be hit or miss. Still, The Madison remains the #2 most-watched show on Paramount+.
The Agency
The Agency has been one of the best spy thriller series on Paramount+ since it first came out in 2024. Featuring a stacked cast led by Michael Fassbender, Jeffrey Wright, Richard Gere, and more, The Agency is a hard-boiled, cold-blooded, and highly sophisticated series about a CIA operative code-named “Martian” who gets pulled out of an undercover assignment overseas to deal with a massive threat to national security.
Martian, played by Fassbender, is known for his elite mind and sharp tactical skills, but his Achilles heel is a woman he met and fell in love with while on assignment. Although he knows he must leave that part of his life behind, he feels compelled to reconnect with whom he believes to be the love of his life. If you love dark spy thrillers, you don’t want to miss The Agency.
Coldwater
Coldwater is one of the easiest shows for a one-night binge on Paramount+. The 6-part psychological thriller series stars Andrew Lincoln, best known for The Walking Dead, and was released earlier this year but never became much of a streaming hit. The series received mostly positive reviews and a Rotten Tomatoes score of 73%, making it a hidden gem that’s worth watching for thriller fans.
This 6-part legal thriller on Netflix is one of the best shows to watch for a one-night binge, thanks to a standout performance by Sienna Miller.
Coldwater follows John (Lincoln), who moves to a remote fictional town of Coldwater, Scotland. John struggles with his concept of masculinity after freezing during a violent event in London, which is partly why he moves his family out of the city. John hopes to begin again, searching for peace, but is met with a seemingly perfect neighbor named Tommy (Ewen Bremner), whom John’s wife distrusts.
Joe Pickett
Joe Pickett remains a great show for a weekend binge on Paramount+ thanks to its perfect 100% Rotten Tomatoes score. The neo-Western crime thriller series is based on the bestselling books by C.J. Box and takes place in the small town of Saddlestrong, Wyoming. The story follows Joe Pickett (Michael Dorman), who is the new game warden in town, as he investigates a murder found at his door.
At 2 seasons and 20 episodes, Joe Pickett makes a worthwhile weekend binge for fans of contemporary Westerns with crime elements, such as Longmire, Yellowstone, or Big Sky. Often thought of as unfairly canceled after two strong seasons, Joe Pickett is still a rewarding weekend binge on Paramount+.
