Eleven “I can do things. But I’m still just me.” You carry a quiet intensity that most people never fully understand. Behind your silence lives a fierce protector who would tear apart the fabric of reality for the people you love. You’ve been through more than anyone should have to endure, and it’s made you cautious about who you let in — but once someone earns your trust, there is nothing you won’t do for them. You don’t need to shout or show off; your power speaks for itself. Like Eleven, you’re still learning that your greatest strength isn’t what you can do — it’s who you choose to be.

Steve Harrington “I may be a pretty bad babysitter, but I’m a pretty damn good bat swinger.” You’re the reluctant hero who never signed up for any of this but keeps showing up anyway. You lead with your heart, throw yourself into danger without a second thought, and somehow keep a group of chaotic kids alive through interdimensional nightmares. People used to underestimate you, and honestly, you used to deserve it — but you grew into someone braver, kinder, and more selfless than anyone expected. You don’t have superpowers or a genius IQ, and that’s exactly what makes you extraordinary. Like Steve, your greatest weapon isn’t the nail bat — it’s the fact that you simply refuse to leave anyone behind.

Dustin Henderson “I am on a curiosity voyage, and I need my paddles to travel.” You’re the heart and brains of any group lucky enough to have you. Your mind runs a mile a minute, connecting dots that nobody else even sees, and your optimism is the glue that holds people together when everything falls apart. You talk fast, think faster, and care so deeply about your friends that you’d walk into the Upside Down armed with nothing but a compass and a theory. People love you for your humor and your huge heart, even when your enthusiasm gets everyone into trouble. Like Dustin, you prove that the smartest person in the room is the one who never stops asking questions — and never stops believing in the people around them.

TV shows that have the kind of impact that Stranger Things had are really rare. So when they conclude, fans find themselves looking for something that could give them the same level of satisfaction that one of their favorite shows did. Interestingly, The Boroughs, one of the Duffer brothers’ upcoming projects, will have more in common with Stranger Things than with Something Very Bad Is Going To Happen.
The Boroughs is set to premiere on Netflix in May. According to the synopsis provided by the streamer, the series is going to be set in a retirement home and will follow unlikely heroes who get together to fight an otherworldly threat.
Other than that, they look like completely different shows. While Stranger Things was centered around kids, the cast of The Boroughs is much older, with Alfre Woodard, Geena Davis, Bill Pullman, and Alfred Molina starring in the show. While these two shows will have diverging storylines, seeing what the Duffers will do next is exciting, particularly because The Boroughs might become their Stranger Things replacement.

The Duffer brothers have been working with Netflix since 2015. The success of the mega hit might have hinted at the fact that their partnership with the streaming giant might last forever, but that isn’t the case. After partnering with Netflix for a decade, the Duffer brothers’ deal with the streamer has reached its conclusion. The Bouroughs is currently the last show that will be produced by the duo for the streaming giant.
Stranger Things co-creators, the Duffer Brothers, have just taken the biggest step of their career to date, forming a brand-new partnership.
Reportedly, Paramount approached the Duffers and offered them a four-year deal with the production company. Since the deal offered them a chance to create original films, which they have always planned to do, Paramount’s offer is exactly what they needed. However, they did reiterate that they are still interested in making TV shows.
Although their focus will mostly be centred on movies, the Duffers also want to see if there are any Paramount projects they would like to recreate or change in some way.
