The Elder Scrolls 6 fans are officially all aboard the hype train now after Xbox’s official announcement of the next-generation console, code-named “Project Helix.” The new console was revealed in a surprise announcement with very minimal details, and confirmed by new Xbox CEO Asha Shar on X:
The Elder Scrolls 6 fans took the announcement more or less as confirmation that the game will likely release as a launch title for the next generation of Xbox consoles. Despite no mention of TES6 in the conversation, it’s safe to assume that there’s a far higher likelihood of the game releasing around the same time as Project Helix as opposed to sometime sooner.
However, this doesn’t mean that Xbox Series X/S users are out of luck, and as players like Previous-Event2 point out: “This all points to a day one release of TESVI that is launched around the same time as a next generation console. We should remember that Microsoft owns both Bethesda and the Xbox brand, and they are likely going to have the game launched for as broad an Xbox and PC strategy as possible.”

Not only is there no confirmed expected launch window for either project, but the cost of a new Project Helix console is going to be substantial.
