On Reddit, The Elder Scrolls 6 fans have been dissecting the Starfield Developer Deep Dive. In particular, these fans believe that they’ve caught the tiniest glimpse of The Elder Scrolls 6 imaginable, which consequently suggests that Bethesda deliberately snuck it into the Deep Dive video, inciting mass hysteria in the community.
Fans have gathered to discuss what they believe to be a look at The Elder Scrolls 6 via a developer’s heavily obscured monitor, where barely anything can be made out besides a few colors. If you ask Reddit user Kuchichi_Byakuya, they are convinced it is, “a white horse, green grass,” and “sand/dunes/rock formation of some sorts on the horizon.”
Thankfully, even if many fans believe this could be an early and perhaps inadvertent look at The Elder Scrolls 6 gameplay, they do understand that they may all be deluded due to excitement. User KushSouffle acknowledges this, stating that “they know we can never prove it, but we’ll go crazy trying to,” while user Eastern-Apricot6315 hilariously responds to the OP, saying, “Yes you need to seek professional help but you’re also probably correct.”
Is The Starfield Deep Dive Really Hiding Any Clues?
It isn’t likely that this Starfield Developer Deep Dive is purposefully obscuring something in the background of a nearly 19-minute major update overview video, no. But that doesn’t mean it isn’t.
It’s truly impossible to say. It could be any number of years still before we see another new teaser, for instance, especially with Bethesda’s Todd Howard saying that we should pretend they didn’t announce it and that it doesn’t exist. If Bethesda intends to try its damndest to make fans forget about The Elder Scrolls 6, it’d be perplexing for the studio to then turn around and leave a clue for fans to find in this Deep Dive video.
Until more news is officially shared, fans will continue to pore over every Bethesda video in the same way (it might be brilliant, also, if Bethesda does begin planting Elder Scrolls 6 seeds as a way to sustain hype). Plus, if fans can eventually prove that what they think they’re seeing is from The Elder Scrolls 6, it will be exciting to follow that discourse and trace it back to when they thought they were all collectively losing their minds.
The Elder Scrolls 6 is currently in development.
