The Elder Scrolls Returns With Official New Release This June

While it appears to be all hands on deck for The Elder Scrolls 6 at Bethesda, studio director Todd Howard’s recent comments on the game indicate that it’s still quite a long way off yet. Still, it may be the most highly anticipated open-world fantasy RPG of the decade, and players are eager for any new The Elder Scrolls content they can get to keep them busy as they wait.

And this summer, Bethesda is officially launching a brand-new, limited-edition The Elder Scrolls release that features one of the franchise’s most iconic deities, Akatosh, the Dragon God of Time (via Bethesda).

The Elder Scrolls fans will want to mark their calendars for an exciting new official release slated to launch this June, with Bethesda’s The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Akatosh Ingot. It’s a 100 x 56.8mm black nickel plated ingot with a unique Akatosh design that comes with a custom display stand that will make the perfect addition to any Elder Scrolls enthusiast’s collection.

The Ingot features the head deity of the Divines, the Dragon God Akatosh, with a stained-glass design, and is limited to a run of just 5,000 units, available for pre-order now. The collectible item is listed for just $45 USD and is scheduled to ship in June 2026, so you’ll want to pre-order yours as soon as possible before the limited supply runs out.

Akatosh is a dragon deity that has made an appearance in nearly every The Elder Scrolls game, including the recent remaster of The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion, and while it’s not exactly The Elder Scrolls release most fans will be hoping for, it’s one of several unique collectibles designed for the franchise.

While not everyone is going to be excited about The Elder Scrolls Akatosh Ingot, it’s an excellent collector’s item for those hardcore fans who have been waiting patiently for an official new announcement on the release of The Elder Scrolls 6. At the moment, it’s unclear just how long we’re going to be waiting for that announcement, but based on recent comments and interviews with Bethesda studio head Todd Howard, it’s all hands on deck at Bethesda.

It’s been almost a decade since The Elder Scrolls 6 was first announced, and since then, players have had virtually zero substantive updates on the progress and development status of the game. It’s easily one of the most highly anticipated fantasy RPGs of all time at this point, and it’s only a matter of time before Bethesda is ready to drop some major news.
