Thankfully, we’ll soon have more content to gush over, and no doubt pick apart with a fine tooth comb. The team at CDPR revealed in their latest podcast, that The Witcher 4 will be shown off this June at Unreal Engine Fest 2026! It seems like we might be tossing a coin to our Witcher in glorious 4K with ray tracing very soon. That’s a prospect that even the Man of Steel himself, Henry Cavill, might go weak at the knees for!
The Witcher 4 Returns This June
Kaer Morhen Content Incoming
Unreal Engine Fest 2026 is set to take place in Chicago from 16 to 18 June, and we couldn’t be more excited to see what’s on offer. No confirmation has been given yet about whether we’ll be seeing gameplay footage, a tech showcase or perhaps just cinematics. Our hope is we get a glimpse of the game running in full flow. We’ve been burned by early cinematic trailers in the past for The Witcher 3, although that game proved to be the absolute GOAT, so it’s hard to complain.
With the previous concept tech demo nine months ago, it’s a fairly safe assumption to make that CDPR needs to bring a little more to the table this summer. Getting a glimpse at a brand-new fantasy RPG is certainly a tantalizing prospect. A gameplay trailer showing off the new Unreal Engine’s prowess is expected by fans. Seeing our beloved Cirilla exploring lavish new landscapes or, better yet, in full combat mode dealing justice to evildoers with her blade isn’t too much to ask, is it?
The Witcher 4’s Official Gameplay Reveal Could Be Huge
Battling A Bad Ass Witch
June can’t come fast enough as it will mark a year since the tech demo we saw and expectations are currently through the roof. The only information we know for sure is that Ciri will be the main protagonist as Geralt pretty much retired at the end of the last game. Will he feature in the game at all? Perhaps mentor from the sidelines like a muscle-bound Yoda? With a voice as gravelly as his dishing out advice, he’d even give Batman a jumpscare or two!
The Witcher 3 set the benchmark for how good an open world RPG can be and hopefully The Witcher 4 can set that bar even higher. The Unreal Engine 5 has been around for a while now, but maybe CD Projekt RED are the team that will push it beyond its limits. Hopefully, by mid-June we’ll have some answers to all our burning questions. One thing is certain though… there’s never been a more exciting time to be a Witcher fan. Roll on June!
